Scale75 - The Chronicles of Run

Has anyone on here worked with fluorescent mini paint of any sort before? Are these extremely bright colors, or do they actually glow under UV light?

I use them as additives to other paints.  go check out James Wappel's blog and his FB page he uses the Vallejo ones all the time..  I think Vince Venturella might have a hobby cheating video on them too

James Wappel used them to paint the Summoning a Dragon bust on his YT channel and he discusses them a bit in the video (he uses Vallejo though).  From what I can tell they are just extremely bright paints and work well for OSL.

Saw this announcement this morning and was giving serious though to buying.  Totally forgot about the Kickstarter discount.

Turns out I gave some bad info.  Scale75 said that the discount will be available once the PM closes.

Also don't forget if you backed in the first 24hrs you also get the €10 off coupon too!

I had forgotten about this as well.  Couldn't remember when I decided to back, so checked.  I am apparently backer #3, so I probably qualify for that coupon.

What coupon is this? When did they mention this? XD

I'm backer 175 but I dont know what that means in terms of time.

Backer number doesn't really relate to date of backing.  It can infer an early backing during large, popular projects, but that about it.

Best would be to dig out the email Kickstarter sends when you actually confirm that you are backing.

Well, I got the email announcing the project at 09:59 and backed at 10:15, so I'm pretty sure I was within the first 24 hours...  ::D::lol:

They had it posted before the campaign began as a way to bring initial backers.  But it is based on time not backer number so you will need to check the time of your pledge.

This is from their 1st update

I use Vallejo Fluo Yellow and Fluo Red.

Mostly for eyes or to mix with other paints to get a certain look.

The Ants are an example.

Pledge manager showed up today.  FWIW if you want to do add-ons, they're actually charging MORE than retail for the figures this time.  List for most of the 75mm is 41.2 Euros, but 45 in the PM.  List for the 35mm is ~10 but they're 12 in the PM.  Also I added one arm and five of the badges and suddenly I was paying 8.3 Euros for shipping.  Deleted the badges and shipping went back to zero.  Just thought I'd let folks know.

I'm too lazy to do the math and conversion for getting some paint but just from looking I don't think it's a huge savings to get them in the PM so I think I will wait and just use my discount to get some paint at a later date.  Plus I just ordered 30 paints from Reaper on Black Friday ::P:

My final list of busts:

Keynan

Arukha (?)

Lisbeth

Thaal

Zhoor

I decided to go with Keynan over Broin since I also got The Grudge bust from Reaper so I will already have a dwarf.

      About
      Welcome to my Kickstarter!
My name is Mark Norton, and I am working full-time as a sculptor going by the name Frozen Ninja 3D. I am designing and sculpting my own line of highly detailed figures with the hopes of bringing people together for fun hobby times.  Please visit the bottom of this page for examples of my work, and to see the quality I am trying to achieve.
This is the fourth Kickstarter project that I have run, and the third project that features models entirely designed and sculpted by me.
What is being offered in this project?
The goal of this project is to release an entire line of high quality plinths and display stands.  These plinths make any figure or bust stand out among the rest, and will make an exciting addition to any collection.   In addition, these plinths will help bring your competition entries to that next level.
FIRST - MEDIUM SIZE PLINTHS - $12 each, or cheaper if you get a "Bundle" Pledge.
To start the project, I am offering Medium size Plinths.  The top of the Medium plinth is approximately 35mm across, which is ideal for most miniatures, and busts look awesome on them as well.  These plinths are about 44mm Tall, with base sizes ranging from 42mm to 49mm.   Each plinth will be supplied unpainted.
In addition to Medium Size Plinths, I have Large Size Plinths planned as stretch goals, as well as some other fun sizes.
I have a lot of great models planned for this project!  Here is the starting lineup (scroll down further to see the stretch goals that are planned...)
      Add-On List
Here is a list of all of the plinths that are currently available in this Kickstarter project.  I will continue to update this list as stretch goals are reached.
Shipping will be charged separately, please refer to the shipping chart below for rates.
      Stretch Goals
These are the plinths that will be available once we hit certain funding levels.
The First Stretch Goal is titled "Chains".  The Medium Plinth will be unlocked if we can reach $1,800 in funding.  It will be available as an Add-On for $12.

      Story
      Hello everyone!
This collection of models is all aquatic themed. There are minis, monsters, and scatter terrain. There are 12 models in the cores set, and 18 stretch goals planned. That is up to 30 models with a buy-all price of $6. Times are tough right now, so I wanted to make something affordable that is still just as awesome.
       MODEL OPTIONS
All models come with a no base, simple base, and decorative base option. A $10 pledge gets you all 3 versions in addition to the successfully tested resin pre-supported version.
         THE CORE SET
                              THE STRETCH GOALS
Every $500 is a new mini, monster, or piece of scatter terrain. All mounts will have a saddle and no saddle version. More stretch goals will be added to match the funding level. So feel free to leave comments about what else you'd like to see!

Me personally I'm more or less done with CMON. No way I'm spending more than $1 here, but some of you might be interested or some might find the comment section entertaining.
