New Pumpkinhead Folk in the Works

Halloween always gets my mind going with spooky thoughts...rather like the rest of the year, but more so.

Now I have been making Pumpkinhead/Jack O'Lantern Folk for quite a while...here's an album of them:

Then I stumbled on this illustration on Pinterest,  AND I had to try that sunny smile:

 

I was fairly pleased with the test results:

 

I did a second one  with what I had learned from the first:

 

...with a closer look:

 

The second is closer to the size of the Reaper Jack O'Lanterns that I usually use for the Pumpkinheads. The first is a bit larger. I may wind up using a GW Orc torso

like this one from  2017:

 

The legs are GW Zombie legs.

This another possibility:

...I have some high hopes for the new O'Lanterns. AND posting the pics has started a small flood of ideas for new &, in one instance, larger Pumpkinheads....HALLOWEEN FOREVER!

...it would be WONDERFUL to have a week of Summer & a week of Winter separated by long months of Spring & Autumn.

I have had at least one memorable pumpkin picking expedition. The brisk air of Autumn always seem to bring those memories back.

I am glad you enjoy the stuff, BLZeebub. I have four more dollies for the Jack O'Lanterns drying. Have I mentioned my tendency to get carried away with things?

...same here. Being a Pumpkinhead seems like too cruel a fate for a furry, little critter.

I think I will stick with bipedal, humanoids.

Nice! Great work in the album.

 

fwiw, Secret Weapon Miniatures and Ral Parth Europe have a Field of Screams bases and animated pumpkin miniature respectively.
