50293: Bonnie, Muumuu Zombie

Recommended Posts

She must be recently zombified via the tear in her dress on the back. While she is quite scary, she doesn't yet have the aura of filth surrounding her that is with many zombies. Lovely blues on the dress ^_^

If she is a long-dead zombie. Newly dead zombies need not be dirty. ^_^

Well I had initially pictured her as a madame paired with reaper stripper zombies.

She looks great!

And I think that in that position she somehow still maintains a little hygiene..sort of..

She is LOVELY in her own fashion...it's inspiring seeing a Living Impaired Lady who takes pride in her appearance. She is a BEAUTIFULLY painted creation. VERY WELL DONE!

Love the blues on the dress and her hair dye red hair - also like that from the front you can tell something is off, but its not a straight give away that she's been zombied - I see possibilities...

Could be in life she was so neat and clean that dirt couldn't touch her in undeath.

With such a pretty dress how could she not.

Hmm an interesting thought.

Nice, I love those blues! Personally, I like that you didn't go for the usual route of hopelessly grimy. It makes sense with the sculpt anyway - the cloth isn't all tattered and shredded aside from the hole in the back nor is her skin all torn up, so makes sense to me that you wouldn't make her all filthy.

Thanks I did spend the most time on those blues.  With all this talk about her, I now want to make her an NPC merchant or some such.

It took me ages to choose a colour scheme for the Valkeeri Leader. I eventually decided on Army Painter Shining Silver to go with the whole pulp scifi theme, and VGC Warlock Purple because why not. I was worried the silver bits of her uniform would look like armour instead of metallic cloth but I think it's turned out OK. For once I managed to get her eyes to a decent standard and her hair came out looking good too. Her gun is VMC Brass, toned down with VGC Sepia Wash and Liquitex matte varnish. Her lips are a tiny dab of VMC Brown Rose.

I forgot about her cape until I was finished with her, so it got a few thin coats of Warlock Purple and then began the fun and games of gluing it to the figure. Four attempts later I got it in what I hope is the right position and touched up the purple.

I painted Devil Girl's clothing in Vallejo Black and thought, "God, that's boring". So I added 1/3 Vallejo Dark Prussian Blue to the black and redid her coat. Adding the blue makes the black much richer, and I washed the black over with Army Painter Blue Tone. Her skin was done with Vallejo Flat Red, Red and Vermillion. Her hair is black and drybrushed with Vallejo Royal Purple. The lava is Liquitex Modelling Paste and the slabs are just plasticard. Her eyes took FOREVER to get right, which was frustrating as hell as they're just yellow with a thin black line.

The paint scheme and base are shamelessly ripped off this one by @TheOldGuard, although he/she can do OSL and I can't (and wasn't even going to attempt it).

I'm just about finished with my final piece for ReaperCon, and I needed a break. I needed to paint something fun and with no consequence. I've been eyeing this sculpt from across the room, and I just decided to go for it. Nothing super crazy, just some true metallics, which I haven't done much with in some time. Enjoy!

I would like to try airbrushing different sets of skin tones onto multiple copies (5+)  of the same female figure as practice and as a reference for other models. Anyone recommend a Bones fig that is large enough to have quite a bit of exposed skin, but cheap enough that lots of copies wouldn't set me back too much. Yaphima (sure I spelled it wrong) the Frost giant comes to mind first, but looking for other options

Not as happy with Candy as I was with Sugar, but she was fun to paint. She does have pupils in her eyes, honest.

I've just noticed a strip of white on the top of her left thigh. Great.
