NOV 26 :•    The Apocalypse is upon us, will you set your pets free?

Eat them or take care for them till the end even when it means you'll have to share the little resources you have?

Right now we only have 2 neon tetras. Kind of hard to set them free and they wouldn't even make one good piece of sushi. The cows will be a source of food and wouldn't take up much resources.

My dogs will go with me.

Earlier this year, one of the houses behind me caught on fire, and the neighbors were going around telling people to evacuate. The first thing on my to-do list was load the dogs in the car before grabbing a bugout bag in case the fire crossed into the back yard.

Winston will be with me until the bitter end.  He's too friendly of a dog to survive a day in the wild on his own. And his inability to stay quiet when I need him to will most likely be the cause of my death.  But there's no way I could leave him behind.

If I had a dog...

he would guard me and help me garner more resources...

never give up a loyal ally in an apocalypse

Wait, I have pets?!

[Looks around apartment, sees a fly on the wall]

"You are now FLUFFY!"

[Opens window]

"Save yourself! Fly free Fluffy, fly free!"

I'll miss that fly. They way it buzzed around just told you how happy it was.

[Sees cockroach on floor]

"Ro... ROCKY?! I... I thought you were dead. You came back!"

[Sobs uncontrollably. The loyalty in roaches is so moving.]

WEEKEND CHALLENGE NOV 24 -25 : Rummage through your cellar/attic/garage, what lost treasure did you find?

                                                                   Pics?

When one looks into the Abyss... the Abyss looks back. :;,;:

(I actually did this right before Thanksgiving, and located a bunch of ancient GW miniatures, most notably including the mid-90's metal giant. I should really paint him!)

they don't exist unless you are counting the possum that occasionally gets stuck in the dumpster, or any rats in the traps

We don't have any pets.

We feed wild birds though.  We would probably continue to feed them until the sunflower seeds and suet pellets ran out.

Seyda would continue to be an excellent brain weasel deterrent and Warmer of the Lap.

She would not care to find her own food though.

Her brother Kai is our Cat Sentinel, though. He's the best animal bard I know - he meows at shadows on the wall and keeps them a safe distance away!

Or send him to a good home! Loved that Giant. I think repurchasing is a goal of mine for this year.

Damnit The Cat is an outdoor cat & quite capable of fending for himself if needs must.

He already fancies himself as King of the Pecan Grove. After the Apocalypse, he may be

the Grand Tyrant of the Cockroach Empire.

My pets are as much a part of my family as the kids are (the cats listen better), there's no way I'm gonna abandon them.
