The Big Blue Guy is an impressive, AND BEAUTIFULLY painted creation. Your brushwork & color choices are OUTSTANDINGVERY WELL DONE

Thanks!

Harshnag!

He's the best in "Storm King's Thunder".  The party loved him.

Sadly, I am unfamiliar with Storm Kings Thunder. To me, he was just a cool giant! But, I hear that Harshnag is pretty cool! (was that a pun?  I think it was a pun...)

That's a great model right there.

Yes it is.  The sculpt is sooooo good!

Really nice browns and the coloring on the skull helmet, everything is distinct but looks worn - and cold

Mission accomplished!

That drybrushing!! Supererogatory work and ultra-crisp photography, to boot!

There's some drybrushing, for sure.  Glad you like it!

Super!

I love the old bone look on the helmet!

Thanks. That's one of my favorite aspects of the sculpt as well.

Nice!  Very clean!  I love the leather

Thank you! The leather was several different shades of brown before I settled on that one.

Very Nice brush control.

Your use of colors is magnificent!

I love the balance that you have achieved in each of this mini's.

They are really outstanding.

I would only say.. time to start thinking of basing !!

Great work !

Jasonator

Thanks! Yeah, I went a little overboard with the snow effect.  Ah well. Not much to be done about it now.  That stuff dries to a crazy hardness.

He's a Frost Giant who broke away from his tribe and allied with the Gray Hands of Waterdeep.  I think he popped up first in the 3.X "City of Splendours" book.  He's one of the few early possibilities for a Giant ally in the game.

Though not labelled as such, the Nolzur's Frost Giant is clearly supposed to be him, and is a modified version of his pre-paint sculpt:

Yours is much nicer looking!

I do wish they had done a variant of him using his legendary axe properly, though:

He was one of the favorite NPCs of my players when I ran the campaign.  It helped that he spoke Common like the Swedish Chef.

Ok, he sounds REALLY cool now! And since you posted that last image, now I wish they'ed gone with that image to sculpt the figure.  The great axe and the White Dragon skull helm are just too cool (was that a pun?  I think that was a pun...)!
