Quote

A heavy thundering sound come crushing down the ruined hall. You see orange and red lights dancing between the pillar supporting the stone roof. In the glimpse of a moment, all hell break loose as a dark skin colossus burst from the rubbles wielding a towering incandescent blade. He lands next to you smashing the large tiles of the floor. You are paralyzed in fear as he turns gazing in your direction with fire in his eyes. Desperate, you wonder if you've gone too far exploring this ancient Undermountain realm.

Then his bone-chilling, unearthly voice roars from deep down his throat: "Oh, Boy! Look what I got! Can you believe that? It was on sale! just a couple of silver coins! That's what I call cheap!"

And you know he is right. Bren, the weaponsmith, always had the best summer sales in Neverland ...

Just beautiful - looks like you made some mods (skulls on belt, texture to back armor, etc) that work really well - I have this one out to paint - I'm inspired and intimidated as this is a bar too high for me right now, but lots of great ideas to use!

Great job!  The sword is fascinating: like a weapon hot out of the forge with hammer marks and forge scale...OR...some magma-shaped weapon which is perpetually hot.

The hair is great.  The face is very animated.  And the skin highlights are nice and smooth.

Thanks for your comments everyone. The blade took almost 3 hours to paint but it was a great experience. I will use the same approach on the other fire giants whenever I'll paint them.

@Iridil, the mods I did are the skulls on the belt where the chains were supposed to be fixed and the addition of chains to create a flail-like weapon. The texture on its back are part of the original model. I was first tempted to paint the center part of its back in the same color as the skin, but then realized it was a leather armor.
