Greetings, Children of the Reaper...

- I always think it's cheeky when entities pop up on manufacturers forums for a leg up; I do hope you will give me a pass, as I have contributed to the great Reaper Edifice (in a minuscule way) with a few sculpts in the past (Reaper Ron was kind enough to relieve me of a few Dregs.. Ghoul/Zombie sorts).

I'm just tinkering with a little range of my own , perhaps more whimsical fantasy figures..
Got a batch of greens finished (two gang/factions.. enough for an initial mould).. and am immersing myself in a bit of hitherto unexplored social media  (only got on FBook this year!).

 Have just set up a FaceBook 'Artist' page (please do take a look if you like, no obligation, am not flogging anything just now):
https://www.facebook.com/midblightminiatures/?modal=admin_todo_tour

And attached a couple of pics for you to examine...

All the Beast/ Hope you US Denizens had a great Thanksgiving , Paul M

OUTSTANDING! They would get on famously with my Mushrooms & kit-bashed Faerie Goblins,

Your pieces are WONDERFULLY imaginative & DELIGHTFULLY silly/whimsical. VERY WELL DONE!

- My Thanks Malefactus :}

- A bit like when bands are being ignored, I always feel a twinge of sympathy for forum posters who are met with  the chill of indifferent silence  .. you've spared me that indignity (I owe you!) :}
   Admittedly,  I did get a frosty non-welcome at the old FrothersUKForum (but felt I had to post there, to honor The CyberGods of Old).

   If you've a blog/ instagram/FB with your modelling work, let me know, and I'll take a peek (always interested to see what my fellow mini-fanciers are up to).

HUUUUUGEE fan of your work, and amazingly enough, I was literally painting some base glazes on your Fractured Dimension Kostchtchie just last night!!! I've got your Dregs in metal from Reaper and several others of your work from FD. I've been waiting to do an appropriate diorama for your 'paladin in hell' for some time.

Just went and liked your FB page and will definitely look out for your stuff online if/when it starts selling, or if you venture to Kickstarter or something like that. ::D:

It was my pleasure to supply a morale boost. For me posting photos of my work is about the only way they will be seen...I do send dome out as surprise packages as another way of having them seen.

There is always the risk of being snubbed. There are times even I can't come up with a way of expressing my admiration. That wasn't a problem with your creations. They are exactly the sort of pieces

that I LOVE

I have quite a lot of my stuff here in the Conversions & Presentation section...just look for The Last Hurrah...well here's a link:

Cute little goblin.  Nice detail work, too.  I can just imagine her offering a poison toadstool  or a magic apple to some young adventurer.

Adrift - thanks! The Fractured Dimensions project was pretty expansive; I think the wee Perribo clowns were my favourite sculpts.. there're some nicely painted examples if you search out : Minis by Finch (blog).

Malefactus; Wow- really impressive/inventive passion project (sort of thing I'm aiming for in ways, though you're light years ahead), your scenes/characters are reminiscent of stop-go animations (cool stuff).

Inarah - Ta; good (that's what I was shooting for .. fairytale feel) :}

 Darsc -Ta, The Moonpug  appeared outta nowhere (they are cute little things).SAM_0736.thumb.JPG.d775832f8727fd75f73ef66f94530eb8.JPG

Crowley- Thanks! I sculpted that one middle of 2017 (since then, quite a few 'doggy adventurers' have popped up).

JoshuaSlater- Ta (it's a tortoise race between you, me and AndyColeman (4A) :}

.. Great Lidless Eye ('Wreathed in Flame')  -Had never heard of them (but now see the potential ..had pictured him in trad pug fawn.. but pastel 'My little pony' colours could work.. )

  Added a couple of dwarv-ish pics..

Cool minis.

Not my kettle of tea, but yeah, they look fun.

Thanks for posting them.

(I don't Farcebook, so wouldn't have seen them if you hadn't posted them)

Gadgetman! - Well, thanks for pausing to give them a once over (in any case).
                       - I long resisted Facebook's Dark Palantir... (in fairness, it's generated a bit of work for me since I .. 'plugged in' , in April).

Edited by PaulMuller
typed 'them' twice by accident, then recoiled..

Time moves slowly in this web-wreathed attic (glacially so).
- I sculpted a couple of trad Skellies for the last Bones KS (hope a good few of you have enjoyed applying paint; inflicting them on your PCs)!

I suppose this is a 'sorta hobby-log' entry (as things stand); I have had my little creations cast up 'Shiny and Pewter', and am looking at taking them to market (it'll be Kickstarter to get the glacier moving; and I'll shift across to that area of the forums when that occurs).
   Couple of pics of the Metal (one of a coloured in metal)..... wishing all you Children of the Reaper sharp eyes and nimble fingers.... Paul M

      About
       "...Aulë made the dwarves strong to endure. Therefore they are stone-hard, stubborn, fast in friendship and in enmity, and they suffer toil and hunger and hurt of body more hardily than all other speaking peoples; and they live long, far beyond the span of Men, yet not forever."
      -J. R. R. Tolkien
      Dwarves really are the best! While they're often a bit rough around the edges, they have the best accents, are insatiably loot-hungry, and will fight anything that moves—so we are going to make a bunch more of them!
      We've assembled them into adventuring parties to make it easier for us to pack and ship. You can add an additional adventuring party to your base reward for $22. Additional individual dwarves can be added to your base reward for $5 each. For a slightly larger view of the minis, check them out on our blog. Here are the adventuring parties:
      From Left to Right: Male Dwarven Brawler, Female Dwarven Bard, Male Dwarven Deathknight, Male Dwarven Druid, Female Dwarven Warrior
      The League seeks out the ancient dwarven knowledge hidden deep within the lost caverns. They hope that, in time, civilized dwarves will once again inhabit those hallowed halls.
      From Left to Right: Male Dwarven Rogue, Female Dwarven Sheildbreaker, Male Dwarven Battlerager, Male Dwarven Mage, Female Dwarven Archer
      Hogg's Tavern is not the sort of place that anyone should visit . . . at least not anyone who values their life or health. Surprisingly, it has regulars. Its patrons are usually adventures past their prime or looking to make a name for themselves.
      From Left to Right: Female Dwarven Mechanist, Male Dwarven Automaton, Male Dwarven Gunslinger, Female Dwarven Automage, Male Dwarven Investigator
      Not everyone has embraced the "advances" made in the Steam Valley workshops. When the Savages descended on the valley, the Seigebreakers and their constructs helped turn the tide against the invading armies.
      From Left to Right: Female Dwarven Vampire Hunter, Male Dwarven Undead Elite, Male Dwarven Necromancer, Female Dwarven Huntsman, Male Dwarven Warlord
      The lands beyond Raven's Gate are shrouded in perpetual mists and haunted by the undead. Only the very brave or the very foolish venture there. Why not both?
      From Left to Right: Female Dwarven Barbarian, Female Dwarven Berserker, Female Dwarven Wandsmith, Male Dwarven Fighter, Male Dwarven Barbarian
      The Iron Hills are not an easy country to grow up in. There's bitter cold winters and orcish armies locked in perpetual combat. That's not even mentioning the greatwolves. No one ever mentions the greatwolves.
      Every Stretch Goal we hit will add more dwarves (or dwarf-related miniature items/companions) to the Completionist Set. When we have enough of these for a new adventuring party, a new party will be formed. Here are our stretch goals:
      At $7,500 the Female Dwarven Cleric will be unlocked and added to the Dwarves Vol. 2 Completionist Reward. She will also made available as a $5 add-on.
      At $10,000 the Male Dwarven Buccaneer will be unlocked and added to the Dwaves Vol. 2 Completionist Reward. He will also be made available as a $5 add-on.
      As we hit these stretch goals, more dwarves will be unleashed!

      With my wife and I preparing to buy a house we've been clearing out a lot of our clutter to make packing and moving easier. We've also been working hard to bring in extra money too, and this project will hopefully do both.

      Today my wife signed up for a craft fair to help sell the wreaths she's been making for the upcoming holidays. From what she's heard from friends and other crafters this particular craft fair is really eclectic and pulls in quite a diverse crowd. As she told me about it that's when the idea seemed to hit us both, why not try to clear out all that terrain junk I've been hoarding?

      So instead of sitting down and painting or creating my latest joke piece I got started. First up was a couple of single tent encampments. I made one on a rounded base to better fit in a table of terrain and I made the second one squared to fit better on a grid system.

      Both pieces have their good and bad points but like usual I learn by doing; no amount of research or prep work make up for actual experience. Which is the main reason I made these single tent camps. Hopefully I've learned enough to make any subsequent larger camps better.

      Next up are a couple of joke pieces that were honestly going to get made anyway. That's right, they'll be 40k statues when I'm done with them, besides Buzz looks kinda like a space marine already. I had some glue left over so I also started making some sci-fi barrels and I know I'll be making a ton of those.

      The last piece of the night is going to be a simple 40k watchtower. At the moment it's really just in its infancy. The main features are finished barring creating a door and applying some details to the piece.

      Now before anyone gets too excited, I'm not selling any of these pieces online or anything like that. These are literally pieces that are made to be sold for less than five bucks or so and are really only being made to clear out my hobby hoardings.

      Here's the bones Cave Troll!  I painted some of the pustules red with white-heads on them...very gross and troll-ey.  :)
