Stonehaven Dwarves Vol. 2

About

"...Aulë made the dwarves strong to endure. Therefore they are stone-hard, stubborn, fast in friendship and in enmity, and they suffer toil and hunger and hurt of body more hardily than all other speaking peoples; and they live long, far beyond the span of Men, yet not forever."

-J. R. R. Tolkien

Dwarves really are the best! While they're often a bit rough around the edges, they have the best accents, are insatiably loot-hungry, and will fight anything that moves—so we are going to make a bunch more of them!

We've assembled them into adventuring parties to make it easier for us to pack and ship. You can add an additional adventuring party to your base reward for $22. Additional individual dwarves can be added to your base reward for $5 each. For a slightly larger view of the minis, check them out on our blog. Here are the adventuring parties:

The League seeks out the ancient dwarven knowledge hidden deep within the lost caverns. They hope that, in time, civilized dwarves will once again inhabit those hallowed halls.

Hogg's Tavern is not the sort of place that anyone should visit . . . at least not anyone who values their life or health. Surprisingly, it has regulars. Its patrons are usually adventures past their prime or looking to make a name for themselves.

Not everyone has embraced the "advances" made in the Steam Valley workshops. When the Savages descended on the valley, the Seigebreakers and their constructs helped turn the tide against the invading armies.

The lands beyond Raven's Gate are shrouded in perpetual mists and haunted by the undead. Only the very brave or the very foolish venture there. Why not both?

The Iron Hills are not an easy country to grow up in. There's bitter cold winters and orcish armies locked in perpetual combat. That's not even mentioning the greatwolves. No one ever mentions the greatwolves.

Every Stretch Goal we hit will add more dwarves (or dwarf-related miniature items/companions) to the Completionist Set. When we have enough of these for a new adventuring party, a new party will be formed. Here are our stretch goals:

At $7,500 the Female Dwarven Cleric will be unlocked and added to the Dwarves Vol. 2 Completionist Reward. She will also made available as a $5 add-on.

At $10,000 the Male Dwarven Buccaneer will be unlocked and added to the Dwaves Vol. 2 Completionist Reward. He will also be made available as a $5 add-on.

As we hit these stretch goals, more dwarves will be unleashed!

I wish Mike would have sought out ideas for new dwarves before drawing all of them out.

Theres some great concepts here but also some not so great.

Oh man, I really never need another Dwarf miniature but some of those are really cool.

I love the Dwarf Warforged.  Hopefully they come up with some new Dwarf-adjacent allies/foes as well.  There's SO many Dwarf projects out there (including that their last two sets had some!)

I haven't gotten my pledge-order from the last KS but that's partly my fault as I had to replace my card tied to my paypal account but mostly due to the loopy pledge manager, they used.

I only have 1 Stonehaven mini (a gremlin gunslinger) & I'm happy with the mini. I'm gonna judge the minis I get from the last KS first before committing anything to this one.

As far as communication with Micheal/Stonehaven, it's been pretty smooth & nothing against that. I just wasn't happy with the PM they used.

The dwarf trapper from Stoneheaven Adventures 2018 is nice. Though how the PM was organised was little confusing, the creator could easily be reached and was quick in answering the questions I had.

I only have 2 dwarves, the one from the last stoneheaven kickstarter and the one from DDS2. Even so, I don't think I will be backing this kickstarter.

This brings me back, Dwarven Adventurers Box Set was the first miniature related kickstarter I ever backed. It launched a month before Bones 1, 6-1/2 years ago. Still some of the nicest minis I've ever seen. Needless to say, I'm in.

Zombicide was the first Kickstarter I ever backed, the Stonehaven Dwarven Adventurers the second!

Yeah, That Dwarforged was the tipping point for me. Getting the Complete level. even though there are a few I am meh about, there are many more that are potentionly inspiring.

P.S.: I played a Warforged warlock that I refluffed as a Dwarf shaped Construct made to house its creater's son's soul in an attempt to save his son from a devestating disease. It worked, sort of. This Dwarforged Mini is almost exactly how I saw Cobolt Brighthammer under his cloak.

They're not in 5E that I know of, but Warforged even had a variant that were Small-sized, the Warforged Scouts.

Also, I JUST noticed the Barber's back decoration is a mirror.  So cool.

I know what you mean about not feeling them all, but I do trade or sell my extras enough that the completionist is usually worth it to me.  I even backed the Elves and wound up keeping maybe 3 of the Elves...but the Companions and Trolls were so cool!

Warforged are in the Wayfinder's Guide to Eberron, which is currently only available digitally, but is an official release.

The small warforged aren't officially in a 5e supplement yet.

Ah, yeah, looking it over, it feels like the "Skirmisher" subrace for them feels like it was meant to be Warforged Scout bodies but they are still Medium.

A bit late, as there's only 21Hours left at this time, but...

      https://www.indiegogo.com/projects/lumir-k-the-one-and-only-cooking-oil-led-lamp/x/10803452#/

I'm at the 'Get 1 Give 1' which means I'm getting one of these weird lamps, and a family without electricity in Cambodia also gets one.

      -----------

Overview Lumir K is a cooking oil powered LED lamp that converts the thermal energy of cooking oil into electricity. ▶Make an Impact- Bring the light to the people living without electricity. ▶1 Lumir K = 100X candlelight ▶Easy to Use-Just placing the lamp over the lit wick will turn the LED light on. ▶Accessible-Olive or canola oil, it doesn't matter what kind of cooking oil is. ▶Instant light-No need of charging or battery ▶Efficient-Consumes the only 5ml of oil for 1 hour of light ▶10-year life span

      Small heat energy turns
the 100 times brighter LED light.

      Less Consumption, Less Emission

Lumir K converts the small thermal energy of cooking oil into electricity and it turns on the bright LEDs. This amazing lantern will light up where you want and it make an impact on the world where it is needed.

      From now,
Cooking oil turns to the power source of your lamp.

Lumir K uses cooking oil to generate electricity.
Cooking oil is one of the cheapest and familiar ingredients as it is easily found from grocery stores in the city to tiny kiosk shops in a remote area.
Olive, canola and sunflower oil, it doesn't matter what kind of cooking oil is. Without any batteries or external power supply, only with tiny flame which is as big as candle, Lumir K gives you an instant and 100 times brighter light.

Lumir K is an easy, accessible and sustainable solution for those who need a light.
With a goal to light up the world, team Lumir had a successful campaign with our first product, candle powered LED lamp.
We promised to keep developing solutions for families in the off-grid area and finally came back with Lumir K by improving efficiency and changing fuel as cooking oil.
Lumir K achieved CE and its core technology is patented. We are happy to share this achievement with you, and we need your support to take one step further.
Lumir K will brighten up anywhere light needs to touch.

Lumir has been resolving the light shortages and delivering the beauty of light.
Our journey started from a small but momentous experience during the trip to India, learning that there are so many places around the world suffering from unreliable or no electricity supply.
Among 1.2 billion who do not have access to electricity, most of them rely on candles or kerosene lamps which is dark, harmful for health and the environment. Using kerosene lamps indoors has the same effect as smoking 40 cigarettes and the cost for fuel takes up even 30% of the household's income.

      Instead of unreliable supply,
Isn't it be possible to maximize the light from a candle or a kerosene lamp?

That was the question that led us to invent Lumir K as an effective solution for the light shortage issue.
In the case of kerosene lamps, only 10% of the energy from the fuel is used for illuminating because the flame itself is the direct light, and the rest, 90% of the energy is just scattered in the air as a heat.
However, Lumir K harnesses the wasted 90% of the heat energy to turn on the LEDs, so it is pretty economical as it provides a brighter light only with a small flame.

LUMIR K can be used anytime and anywhere while solar lamps has a big weather constraints in many areas like Indonesia where the average rainy days are more than 160 days.

After our first crowdfunding campaign, we became a partner of KOICA, Korean International Cooperation Agency, and Lumir K was piloted in Indonesia.
Lumir K provides 4.1 times brighter light than kerosene lamps, while its economic effect was also achieved with 80% lower fuel consumption compared to kerosene lamps. It also reduces carbon emissions by about 90%.

Didn't see a post on this one and it is in the final 24 hours. It is from Mythic Games, the originators of Mythic Battles series. This one is a bit less serious and more along the lines of Arcadia Quest/MOBA comic-fantasy theme.

It is a skirmish game for 2 or 4 players. Miniatures are on 45mm bases and fall in the 32-45mm range. It appears that the bases are pre-sculpted. If MB:P is any indicator, the quality of the miniatures should be pretty solid as well.

Dwarven Forge is doing a smaller kickstarter in June.  It's a pseudo sequel to their Caverns Deep line (which was their 6th kickstarter, aka KS6), KS6.66 - Hellscape.  This is different than their 7th Kickstarter - Wildlands which will be outdoor themed (trees and such) in Jan 2020.

Many of you have been asking for smaller Kickstarters that are more digestible. So we're going to try it! We are going to launch a small, two-week KS with a limited scope. Best of all, it's happening very soon -- KS6.66 - Hellscape will launch in late June 2019! As the name implies, the lava-based project will focus on the fiery wasteland the fiends of the Nine Hells inhabit. The collection will consist of a small number of new sculpts as well as some repaints of some Caverns Deep pieces.

EDIT:  It start on June 16th (Father's Day in the US)

      About
[...] In the tragic accident of 2006, the world lost the renowned Professor De Carli, but we did not lose his spiritual heritage. While he gained his fame for being the first to theorise the so-called ‘Scale of happiness’, in the final years of his life, the holistic researcher utterly devoted his body and soul to the study of an equally mysterious phenomenon: ‘The swamp of the second-born'. It is widely known, at least in the creative sphere, that successfully duplicating a piece of work is a very difficult undertaking. Many promising artists, even those who experienced outstanding success with their first piece of work, have found themselves mired with Artax in this deadly swamp. I know, I know, that’s a low blow. However, or so the never-too-late Prof. De Carli expressed in front of the three hundred thousand students of the University of Turin during his celebrated lectio magistralis of 2004, "No road will be inaccessible to those who travel it animated by the fire of passion. No road except Corso Grosseto that is."
Welcome to this new, crazy campaign by Durgin Paint Forge, mighty backers! We have worked hard over the past years to create a new range of miniatures capable of making your little heart race at a million beats a minute. At long last, here we are, eager to throw ourselves into this new adventure like a lemming on the edge of a cliff! With ‘The Second Government of Inneath’, we want to repeat the wonderful experience of two years ago and, if possible, raise the bar a few notches. Just as with ‘The Iron Crows’, our goal has been to make you fall in love with us and our creations, "The Second Government of Inneath" was born to remind you that, despite the passing of years, in our eyes, you are still as beautiful as the day we met.
We have a single purpose: to create miniatures that are worthy of great heights. Or, at least metaphorically; in as much as 32mm miniatures can be. If you took part in our previous Kickstarter (the blessing of Grundur be upon you!), you already have proof of how uncompromising we are when it comes to the quality of our products. On the other hand, if this is your first experience with us then you are even luckier! Now we have two more years of creative and technical experience that give us a firm belief that this Kickstarter will be even better than the last.
PLAY 3d prints! NDT: we strongly believe that humans have different heights. Or at least, this is what I learned when I met a Latvian guy and I seemed like his backpack, comparing our heights. For this reason, our human characters represent individuals with different heights and their miniatures reflect this concept, going approximately from 34 to 41mm size.
Have I failed to dismiss your doubts? Feel free to write to us at info@durginpaintforge.com if you have any more questions!
The rules of the game are simple: 20 characters, 5 bundles and a large assortment of stretch goals ready to break into your bundle like a commando behind enemy lines. You will be able to support this project and contribute to the success of this range in three ways: you can select the miniatures you like individually, pounce on the convenient bundles for some bulk savings or, if you have an impassioned heart but only a few doubloons in your pocket, we would greatly appreciate if you could share this project far and wide, to wherever you think people might be interested.
If you are only interested in some specific miniatures from the range, take a look at the table below, crack out a sheet of paper, a pencil and some rounded-tip scissors. Note down the miniatures that interest you and add up their individual prices. Their total will be the amount that you will need to insert as your pledge amount. After the campaign is completed, we will send out a pledge manager in which you will be able to sort out the details of which miniatures you want.
We have 5 bundles available: Bluecoat Bundle, Redcoat Bundle, Arcane Bundle, Mighty Mega Box and Friendly Mega Box! If you are interested in buying a bundle, simply select the appropriate pledge and enjoy the anticipation of that little box of goodies being dropped on your doorstep (if you still have those scissors ready, you could cut out some nice origami to pass the time!).
"What if I want to buy more bundles? Or add more miniatures to my bundle?"
Easier than shooting an Elf in a barrel (don't feel bad, he deserves it). Just select the reward you are interested in, then modify your pledge by adding the value of the miniatures or any other bundles you want to add; voila!
