My big fear is that Captain Marvel turns up and kicks Thanos' arse on her own, this would ruin things for me. I felt the same way about the Army of The Dead turning up at the Pelannor Fields in Jackson's LOTR trilogy, it belittled the efforts of all that had gone before.

On a wider note it was a missed opportunity to show the might of Gondor (which was badly treated in the movies). Gondor wasn't a single city, she was an empire fighting off foes on all sides and keeping Mordor in check. But instead of Jackson having the men of the southern Fiefdoms leaping off the pirate fleet we get the equivalent of a fluorescent green battlefield nuke, on top of which we have the now god like Aragorn, Legolas and Gimli slaying orcs in droves while the poor old men of Gondor seem utterly clueless. And Where the F**# was Imrahil? 

One of the most powerful moments in the books is the men of Gondor's fiefdoms marching into Minas Tirith before the battle, noble and brave, but less than a tenth of what the people had hoped for.

Totally agree with you, 10,000%. I'm very excited about Captain Marvel, but it would be lame if she didn't work with the rest of the avengers to bring down Thanos.

Though they call it a "trailer", it really is more of a "teaser" than anything else.

 

I expect a trailer with more broccoli kicking once Captain Marvel gets released.

Meh.  We just got a 2 minute tease for a 2.5 hour movie.  Marvel has more that earned my trust.  Even the weakest movie in the MCU has been good and I re-watch every one of them when I catch them.

I think I'd be happy rewatching most, but not all. No need for Ironman 3 or Civil War. "Smart" guy with laser beams punches bad guy who melts fist.... repeatedly. "Smart" people decide to be completely moronic elfholes for no other reason than to set up the next movie. I can do without that nonsense. I'd rather watch Thor and Hulk be meat-headed bros than the smart-idiots trope. Least favorite trope ever, to the point that at the end of those two movies I was downright irritated. All the others, even with gripes, I was still at a level of entertainment > gripes. They have a... ~85% rewatchability rate for me then? How many movies are there? Black Panther? Guardians of the Galaxy? Classic Ironman and Capt' America? Thor being... Thor? Yeah, count me in.

I don't think all the marvel movies are rewatchable, there are some other duds...

Thor 2:  (although would watch a super-cut of just loki  stealing the scenes) 

Iron Man 2: 

Iron Man 3 

Guardians of Galaxy 2 (exception - frogmouth fight at the beginning) 

Avengers 2

 

But I  have watched them all, and many are just outstanding.
