Though, being a prequel, I'm hoping their isn't a Rogue One ending for the heroes...

This can't come soon enough.  Though I'm surprised is isn't being developed for Disney's streaming service.

Given the Skeksis purge of gelflings and draining the poor things life force to expend their own, chances are good there will be a not-so-great end for the heros.  Maybe no on screen, but we kind of already know how things end up.
