KruleBear
Cool. I like the fact that he is developing a patina. Nicely done. 1
Evilhalfling
Well that is terrific! I second the patina as really well done. Even though you are new to the forums, you are obviously not new to the hobby.

AutumnHare
I’ll echo everyone else — really Great job on the patina. Just stunning. Would you be willing to share how you accomplished the effect?
Rigel
Magnificent metals, especially the aging/weathering/patina!

QueenOfChalices
Thank you everyone for the comments. A lot of the patina was citadel technical paint nihilakh oxide. I dark-lined/shaded the copper scales with dark purple, and painted the nihilakh oxide over the platinum on the belly and some areas of the copper. This washed out a lot of shading in those areas, so I went back and dark-lined them with P3 coal black. The spots on the wings are P3 arcane blue outlined in coal black. The idea for the spots was based on the illustration in the D&D Monster Manual. I think the teal spots would have looked better on copper wings like the dragon in the picture has, but I wasn't willing to commit to painting so much of it only one color. 2

Mutilatedlips
Wow, probably the best copper anything mini I have ever seen. Wish I had a handle on verdigris as well as that. 2

Pillpeddler
Please don't be offended when I try to paint one exactly like that. I like the more naturally painted dragons instead of the fantastically colored ones. Really good paintin' 1
