Started painting this THING a week ago. Wasn’t sure if I was going to like it, then about half way through the dang thing started to become on of my favorite miniatures. Constructive criticism is welcome. Easier to paint than I thought it would be. Enjoy.

Love the way the red eyes make it pop.

I used blonde highlights and coated it with clear red. A little hard coat and bam creepy eyes.

after doing this one I am looking for another, I want to try doing the skin in soft blue tones and the tentacles in darker blue fading into purple.

The model looks great! My constructive criticism would be to give some love to the base :-) If you had some air dry clay you could even fill in the center to get a little more ground in there :-) I forget the source, but a painter had said that he thought the core of seeing minis was "FACES and BASES". Now, I don't know if that is true necessarily, but it always comes to mind after I finish painting the model and gives me a little creative push to give the base a little flair.
