Now that's how to get our attention. If the details are even close to metal mini quality, I'm going in hard on these. Less cleaning is another pretty big headline. Can't wait! ::o:

Indeed.  I love Bones for my big monsters, but until now I've continued to buy all my humans and human sized figures in metal.  If the new Black is really everything they say I'll finally be going all in on Bones!

Exactly the same here.

Personally I'm more interested in how well Bones Black solves issues of weapon bendiness and ankle droop.  Yesterday I did a weapon swap on a Bones 3 fighter because the sword was extremely flimsy and curved.  Replaced it with a pewter sword which was so soft and delicate I'm not sure if it will stand up to tabletop use.  If they can get the right level of firmness and durability it would be amazing!

The Bones Weapon Sprues from Bones 3 are really nice for replacing bent Bones weapons. They're sturdier, and generally just convenient to use. Very glad I got an extra set back during the KS...

I've tried those, a fair number are oversized and they aren't available at retail.  I'm excited to see if Bones Black can eliminate the problem, it would be less prep work.

But they should still maintain flingability. I don't want the stuff to be so hard and edgy that it will hurt my players when I throw it at their heads. :zombie:

I also don't want Sir Cyr to hurt his foot again if he steps on one.

Big question: Does this solve the spray-prime-ability of Bones? I love Bones, but having to brush-prime everything is getting old, especially for the bigger stuff. Got a big dragon for Christmas, and I am NOT looking forward to brush-priming that beast...

I hadnt even thought of this! Very good question, I'm curious to know too

Just seen this one:

http://www.reapermini.com/Miniatures/previews/latest/44001

I've seen that actual figure in person & it's a fantastic figure. Looking forward to seeing it in Bones Bk.

Hoping the new material will solve the bendy problems. One reason why I can't fully get into Bones. Thou Nolzur's has the same problem. Bendy staves really ruin a otherwise awesome looking figure.

There are spray primers that work on Bones. There is a whole thread on that.

I was gonna say something but that sums it up quite well.

Looks like the price point will stay similar, as that's only a buck more than the existing Bones Owlbear.

Yes, there is a thread- which is great for those that are on the forums and/or do research first- but we've all seen a lot of people come to the forums after the fact which leaves them with a not-great first time experience- if it was aerosol safe that would eliminate those problems.

Yeah, there are some primers people haven't had problems with- but not all are readily available in all countries, and I cant speak for others, but I am also skeptical of using the "okay" ones even because a lot of the "research" is anecdotal, batches can vary, ingredients can change- especially between countries. It would great to be able to say "Yes this material aerosol safe" as a blanket statement, and if it's not, fine, we'll carry on brush on priming BonesB same as regular Bones- but it certainly doesn't hurt to ask.
