I haven't created, but I have backed way to many for my own (or my wallets) good.

Backed yes, created no.

I'm expecting a substantial sized box from Reaper for the bones 4 Kickstarter next month.

I'm also patiently waiting for the Kickstarter to fulfill on the 3-d printer with a lot of bells and whistles that I backed.

I've backed a number of other Kickstarters that have led to a number of interesting packages showing up on my doorstep, plus some digital files that will have me 3-d printer happily turning ABS into stuff for gaming purposes for quite a while.

I have created 0 and backed 54. Of those, only one was a flop (and I got my money back from my bank), though one is on the fence right now.

Aside from the reaper projects (of which I've backed all of), most of what I've backed have been small mini projects. I did back the reading rainbow KS, the Vampire Hunter D comic book, and the Mucha art book, but everything else has been minis or games with minis.

Backed: many

Created: none

the first Kickstarter I ever backed was the Order of the Stick reprint drive in 2012, followed by Bones I. After those two wild rides, I was pretty hooked for a while.

Never created one.

Backed:

  • Reaper - Bones II ( Late Backer)
  • Reaper - Bones III
  • Reaper - Bones IV
  • Kensei Zenith -  Undead Samurai
  • Kensei Zenith - Wako vs Namban
  • Lost Kingdoms - Cuetzpal Empire

Not really backed, but I shot a mail to Andeluvian Miniatures about their latest KS, I only want two Gorgonopsids and there was no pledge for that.

They promised me to email me when they got to fulfilling and I could then buy them for KS price.

Hope this works.

Backed? About 35 or so (there's a few on Indiegogo I can't get the details on anymore).

Been fairly lucky with them so far. While there's been more than a few where I've completely lost interest in them by the time they arrived, or they just didn't live up to my expectations, I've only had one failure so far and I still got some stuff from that one.

I'm in for the Saga World Builder tiles too. I think they will deliver eventually, but it has been a text-book example of how not to run a kickstarter.

Maybe, but I'm really not hopeful, at this point I'd consider it an unexpected surprise!  I don't like being in the hole for ~£100, but it was definitely a lesson learned. I think the guy means well but if he ever ran another kickstarter I'd run a mile and advise anyone else to do the same.

I... I may have a problem.

But it’s not a lack of minis

:;):

Do you have all the minis? No? Then you have a lack of minis!

I've never created one, and technically backed two.  I say technically because while I have signed up for a dozen or two, most I've wound up backing out of due to financial constraint or various things breaking and money having to go towards that instead.

I also say technically, because the second one failed to fund, but was showing signs of such early on.  Lack of communication and involvement with backers probably didn't help them.  So my first was CAV:SO III, which I still have a decent amount of money to put into the pledge manager.
