That looks splendid!  I would give that a go without hesitation. Especially with the caramelized onions and some of that mash in the background.  I made haggis in college, just to see what it would taste like.  Could not get a stomach, but was able to find intestines, which worked well enough.

I've seen the haggis-in-a-can they sell in the US, and I'm sure it tastes like most things sold in cans....

Seriously, that looks so good... and yeah, canned haggis? I wouldn't dare offend my mouth.

Question for January 28, 2019

What is your favorite superhero franchise?

"The Mask"

Three excellent graphic novels. (Followed by a half a dozen more that gradually became pointless.)

A film that was the only good thing Jim Carey ever did. (Plus a sequel that I refuse to admit even exist.)

Total besottedness for Cameron Diaz.

"Smokin'!"

I kept waiting for others to suggest one and perhaps remind me. It feels like I am failing to remember.

Inspector Clouseau (Peter Sellers).

This ^ wasn’t a bad suggestion. Also, Henry Jones. I think Sean Connery might be my favorite actor. Sort of surprised nobody suggested 007 (James Bond) as a favorite character, of course then you fall down the rabbit hole regarding which Bond played by which actor

I can't answer this question.

This ^ is where I ended up.

Question for January 28, 2019

What is your favorite superhero franchise?

Superman. He feels like the original, the archetype for all the rest, and superior in power to most of them; the scope of the backstory (literally world shattering) doesn’t hurt either.

GODZILLA!

He's the dragon of our modern society. As awe inspiring as he is terrifying.

Not sure but, I think you might have inspired the Question for the 28th with this answer for the 27th.

Actually, when I started this, I went and did a list of all my questions for the month by date. So nyah! ;)

That shows a degree of forethought and planning that leaves me in awe.

And they have all been excellent, enjoyable questions.

Question for January 28, 2019

What is your favorite superhero franchise?

From the current crop of superheroes, even going back a few decades, I can’t say I have one. Though I suppose Ironman or the Incredibles come closest.

I don’t care for the darkness that pervades today’s franchises.

When I was a child though, Batman and Spider-Man could do no wrong. Greatstuff!

Canned Haggis can be OK, you slice it and grill it. The trick is to find some way of keeping it moist while it cooks. Burnt haggis is disgusting.

I think the only thing that tastes good burnt is, uhm... Sliced bread, and even then you have to be careful, because after a while it's too far gone...

A real whole haggis, freshly cooked, will look like this:

The interior is quite granular with the minced meat and cooked barley readily distinguishable.

And yes, that is a sheeps stomach it has been cooked in. You are NOT obliged to eat it...

I actually made that when I was working at Harvest Meats. The interior is the stickiest thing I had to work with. It doesn't just stick to your ribs!

I don't know if this qualifies, but I'd say the Punisher.(Not a superhero per se, but shares a universe with them even though he's a pastiche of Mack Bolan from the Exectutioner, a formative series of my youth) I remember there being two movies but I don't know if he's shown up in any of the major ones yet. I haven't really seen any of the newer movies since the third (I think) X Men of the early 2000s so I can't really say for sure.
