Question for January 29, 2019

Gloves or mittens?

Gloves. Leather is my preference.

This. I have a fingerless pair that I would wear to paint back in my old house, but the apartment is so warm I don't need them anymore.

Since my hands are  (un)naturally warm all the time I tend to only were jersey knit gloves when I walk to & from work each night/morning. They keep my hands warm in even the coldest of weather. Due to the warmth in my hands, I can do the magical "Mr Miyagi healing touch", by clapping my hands together & rubbing fast (or at least I think so ::D:).

For cold days, I wear glove liners under my gloves.  The last set of glove liners I picked up are touchscreen-compatible.  I have also been known to wear these in the office when it gets really cold.  (They're thin enough that I can still type while wearing them.)

Orly?! What brand are these? My hands get quite cold at work :ik_oops:

Gloves. It's way to difficult to ride a motorcycle with mittens.

@Darsc Zacal is not missing. He was just here not to long ago.

Jury's out of what Darsc thinks about being called Mittens though.  I'm not going to ask a tiger that question, that's too risky. :p

I always thought of him as more of a 'Socks' tiger myself

Question for January 30, 2019

Do your pets travel with you?

Depends on where I'm going, but usually, yes.

Have you ever taken a hamster cabin camping?

I have.

Have you ever arrived, unpacked, left a hamster in a cabin with 2 corgis, gone out to dinner at the main building, and gotten trapped by a derecho that knocks out power for the rest of the long weekend you're spending in the woods with your 2 corgis and a hamster?

I have.

Honestly, it was more pleasant than the following week back home, still without power, and hot. (no fans, no refrigeration, so much food we had to throw out... including a gallon of ice cream...) The hamster and corgis were happier in the mountains with no power, rather than in steamy swampy baltimore...
