Super cool. I've always been more of a fan of Nurgle myself, but these are awesomely done. Cheers.

Wow - these are all just really beautiful - the guy with the big horns on top is my favorite - love the shading on his mane and the pink - outstanding

Yeah, he's an expensive one.

One thing I've discovered is that I can easily afford to buy absolutely every mini if I actually paint them.  Time is definitely the more scarce resource.

I wasn't planning on ever doing any more Work In Progress threads (The number of threads I've abandoned outnumber my finished threads by a pretty ridiculous amount at this point), but I'm trying to get back into the habit of painting every day and my brain is being a real jerk about it (he'd be a lot happier if I gave up on this whole painting nonsense and just stared mindlessly at a screen all day).
So the idea is if I post an update a day, regardless of how much progress I've made, I'll shame myself into making sure I've done enough for a worthwhile update or something.

      Day 1 (Which was yesterday):-

The King and his Seahorse have been undercoated, washed and I've started on the base, I got part way through applying the pumice paste before I realised I couldn't get to the middle without getting it all over the Seahorses tail/tentacles/tail-acles?
Today I want to try and finish the base, and maybe start on the Seahorse.

The last of the drow I chosen to try to do this month. Again wanted to try different things, i.e. hair color, etc. different colors to see how they work. And here I went with the usual red clothing thinking it'll help the contrast of the green.

So recently one of my wargaming friends has been really trying to get someone in our group to kitbash together some Imperial Guard Rough Riders. Not exactly sure why he doesn't just build some and I had decided to just ignore him when inspiration hit. While hanging around some GW kit bashing forums I came across an image.

I have absolutely no idea where this image actually came from, it was a repost of a repost. In the end it didn't matter though, I knew I could pull off something similar and more importantly I could build most of the project using only pieces on hand. Only needing wheels and bases means these will be very cheap to make.

After getting lucky on eBay I have a ton of guardsmen, but ten of them just don't fit my current army. They do however fit this project perfectly. Step one was getting them off their bases and that GW plastic melting glue really made that hard. Luckily I was able to get them all detached without injuring myself.

The rest came together really quickly. I swapped out some arms, trimmed some sprue pieces, raided my bits bags, and trimmed down some toothpicks. Here is my final result.
      Closeups

Now the search for wheels begins.

I painted up some of Games Workshops' Namarti Reavers in a more wood-elf looking scheme. I plan to have them running alongside some deer as part of my 'animal friends' project. Just starting work on the deer, and very happy with the archers!

Gave this model a different arm and hand pose, sculpted a wooden stick and used a resin bit from avatars of war necromancer for the spear head. This was a speedpaint that took probably around an hour. Thanks for looking!

      The original model:
