Popular Post Prex
This is the obligitory beholder. As much as I like my Reaper eye tyrant, I could not resist this sculpt and had to paint it over the holidays.
CorallineAlgae
Nice job! I like the fleshy tentacles and veins in it's eyes. Also like the tiny spot highlights on each tentacle eye. 3

Dr Boom
Love that colour scheme. I have a red, a purple and a brown beholder but would never have thought of this combo. Has this been air brushed or brushed blended? 1
Kangaroorex
I have one of these waiting on my desk and I may have to steal the color scheme, that looks really good. Congratulations! I really like the eyes a s the flesh tones on the eye stalks. They are superb 1
Prex
@Dr Boom, it's a combination of airbrush and brush. The eyestalks were painted with flesh tone, then army painter stong tone to bring out the details. Once that was dry, I put airbrushed thin coates of reaper marine teal (fantastic colour) and scrofulous brown over top to create the transition. Finally, watered down strong tone to re-emphasise the shadows. Edited January 14, 2019 by Prex missing word for clarity
