You expressed what I was getting at in a much better fashion.

And yes, I was totally referring to the bolded part.

Best put it to work. A bored demon can get awfully destructive .

ETA---about mailboxes---both of my grandparents had mail slots in the door when I was growing up in New England. I don't think I've seen one in quite some time, though.

Everyone has those here.

I have only ever heard Binky used in period drama television shows. Actual extended family members used other silly words.

(...There are lots of silly words that crop up in the presence of human infants...)

(...Why is that?..)

Because we want the baby to try and imitate them, and babies can't make the same number of different sounds as adults?

We have a mail slot in our front door.

We always talked to our kids conversationally with regular people talk, syntax, and vocabulary. They were both talking like regular people by age two.

Time for a game.

First 3 letters of your first name + first 3 letters of the last place you ate out at or ordered food from = Your next adventurer’s name.

Mine will be Darpiz.

This is never going to be pronounceable...

TGPTAC <_< :upside:

That doesn’t even work for a Lizardman name.  ::(:

P is a difficult letter for lizardfolk. As are B, F, M, and V. Lizard lips aren't as agile as human's.

My name will be Marsub!

I don't know how to make it sound impressive, so I suddenly wish him an early death. Taserface would be less embarrassing.

I think I'm going to wait until after lunch today to pay this game. The last restaurant in my personal history was Jimmy John's, so every iteration of my first name (forum, legal, given) just winds up sounding like something to do with a place for exercise.

An alternative Quick-!-name-that-character rule, again utilizing most recent place one ordered food:

First three letters of an item ordered

+

Last three letters of the establishment

=

Character name
