Something went right for @Marvin and @Unruly had a good day.  :upside:

In other news.....the local weather hounds (the TV kind) were falling all over themselves tonight, disrupting prime time TV, because a big ‘ole Texas Thunderstorm (with rotation!!!  OMG Rotation...!!) was rolling right up I-35 and US 377 bothering the little podunk Radar Trap Town of Argyle, and other points on the landscape like, such as, and near Corinth...

(for those not familiar, these are right near ::o: Reaper HQ)

...they, and by they I mean the weather guys, was havin’ a conniption.

Seriously, hoping the roofs are still on at RHQ, Ed’s, Bryan’s, Anne’s, houses and all the other Reaperpeep’s lairs. It probably is.  They probably are. Those weather guys get a little over-excited by their Doppler Computer Enhanced Radars.

It has been a strange Tuesday.

Oh, I’m leaving willingly. They offered an enhanced severance package and I grabbed for it. They are going to force the 3 people who didn’t take it to become contractors at a lower income  and no severance or they get the standard severance package. I’m VERY glad I signed on for the enhanced voluntary package.

So there you are,  you are leaving on good terms and have  been gifted with freedom.  You may now use the computer for job research and the printers for resumes.  plan your interviews for long lunches and management will bless the whole thing because you aren't making a fuss.

this is the time to enjoy your job.  Remember to place any deadline beyond your separation date (and tell those with existing projects that you will be late and those projects will also extend beyond your separation date.) and the world is your oyster.

I only got a RIF package on my first job.  Ever since then I always apply and get rejected, then I have to quit the normal way.  the worst case I had was when the CEO decided he only needed me and not the other 5 people in the department. Fortunately I got wind of it and found myself another job before the notices went out.  I waited until the notices were sent (no they didn't even do this in person, it was a severance letter) I was friends with the secretary who typed them and sent them.  then I went into the CEO's office and gave notice

I got a stapler thrown at me.

Today I went to the dealership to get my registration and have the dealer plate taken off and my regular plates put back on...

Only to discover that at some point in the last day or so somebody hijacked the dealer plate off my car...

However, since you know where you buried the bodies, you can always just dig them up again and pull the forks out of their eyesockets...

I think I played one of those in Gamma World once.

Also, that reminds me of this...

Did you keep it? Was it a Swingline? Did you threaten to burn the whole building down if they took your new stapler away from you?

I'd have made sure it left a mark.

First on me, then on the CEO when I emptied it into his forehead.

Investigating Officer: "So what happened?"

Me:  "Sir [or Mam] the last thing I remember was a stapler flying at my face, thrown by the CEO."

I appear to have "packed" (read: I lost it) the brand new cord for my brand new camera with the macro lens.

So I am still reduced to cell phone pics. Hmph. Hmph I say! ::P:

Pics of the war pugs won't be up until tomorrow. It's 4am and I've got to get up at the crack of noon.

Thank you all for the advice.

The trip is just 5 days including 2 travel days.

If it doesn't come back tonight or tomorrow I will do as TGP here said.

That was my  idea as well.

If it does come back tomorrow it might mean not going at all.

I wonder if it has anything to do with me working a lot in the garden today, maybe I did too much? Too much sun etc?

Anyway, I will take it easy now.

Hopefully it stays away, if not it might be an inner ear infection or something like that.

If you have serious symptoms today, then it's likely something that requires medication.

Otherwise, it's likely something that is episodically annoying but won't likely endanger your trip. How often it will happen depends on what caused it. If you were dehydrated from the garden, you're probably good. If you have an otolith loose, it'll occasionally rumble around with head movements.

Here's hoping you don't have serious symptoms today.

11:00 hours now,.

I got up at 07:00 hours, I have brought Brutus to the Doggy Hotel, did groceries and cleaned out the car.

I have a slight cold and am sometimes a bit light headed, but no dizzyness until now.

Hope it stays away.

It might be a combination of having a cold and the work in the garden yesterday.

Otolith, I've read about it, hope it's not the case.

I was definitely thinking something similar.

I think I managed to let myself get dehydrated. I just woke up with a leg cramp (almost a Charlie horse, thankfully not). Very rude way to wake up, btw. Especially when you're having a dream that your husband and his best friend are spawn and deadpool and are being weird as heck.

Anyway, yesterday was The Purge: Me, and I forgot to keep drinking stuff because I was exhausted. And all I had to eat was an apple. So now I'm sitting in the kitchen, with the cats begging for food/attention, while I drink stuff.

That was a nice surprise gift from the workplace benefits...  Lower rates.  Well, for the RRSP program anyways.  Most things went down 0.2% for MER, which is nice because that means most of the index funds are now only 0.54%, and the target date funds are around 0.87% now.

YAY for lower fees ^_^

I should probably paint more though *whistles innocently* kind of miss doing that.

I'm hoping my friend can fix up my HVAC unit at home... It was blowing out cool-not-cold air last night. :( I really don't want to buy a new unit.

Find out in advance what the regs are for seeking medical care while out-of-country.

(Just in case.)

I haven't checked the specifics for @Glitterwolf's country, but I thought most (all?) European national health services had reciprocity agreements for that. No?
