I think DH and I will each pick up Kaissy,  at some point.

Krissy is definitely tempting.  I have a weakness for Bubblegum Crisis (and similar) things.  She could use a motorcycle though.

I really agree with the Bubblegum Crisis feel, question though is what color...

A quick note on the topic of resins!

There are thousands of different types of resins.  The tabletop game industry has about 30 or 40 different variations that I can think of used commonly.  Some resins are super lightweight and very very brittle, others have a slight flexibility to them classified as "semi-rigid" that we are using ourselves that can withstand a crow bar beating on them (showed that on one variation we used) They also vary wildly in price for the manufacturer so that can play into the final cost of the models.  We have finally set on what we believe to be the ideal resin and are using it going forward, started using it a few months ago.

I have no idea what version they are using, but i definitely do not want people to think that because a project is resin based it has amazing details but is super fragile.  That MAY not be the case :)

I might go in for Tribal Maelee and Helpersaurus, that's about all I could swing at the moment. I would like do more but... the KS is only 9 days, that's probably the shortest I have ever seen.

"Resin" is just "plastic" in evening dress -- or sometimes a clown suit.

If you want to use BGC colors, the better question is: Can I mod the figure enough for each of the other three suits so I can have all of them?  (You don't have to be exact, just enough to give the impression of the other suits.)

This sounds like a project for ReaperCon 2020.  (For someone else.)

The fact that there are 30 or 40 formulas that all get grouped under the category of resin, without clear differentiation is exactly why the term makes some of us skittish. If you have one particular mix you use, name it and use it consistently so that people can get used to what ever it is.

Fair enough! For us we use a resin from smooth on called 66d it is a bit pricy but their regional vp was at our facility and told us it was specifically made for one of the larger tabletop gaming companies so we tried it and fell in love with it!

      The Kickstarter is now Live:
      https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/badsquiddogames/amazons-and-dwarves-quality-28mm-female-miniatures
      -

I backed one of Annie’s previous kickstarters, the one with all the forest animals including beavers and moose and bears (oh my).
I also bought several of her female minis and the sculpts are quite nice and the castings were great quality. Very sharp and clean. I’m very happy with what I’ve ordered and if finances allowed I would back again.

I got the early bird 4 bust deal.  FWIW I have some of their earlier figures and they've been very good quality.

Someone in a podcast I listen to (an actual play d&d weekly affair, if I remember correctly) has this rpg based on 80s video nasties. It sounds intriguing and fun.

Atlantis Miniatures is dropping a new Kickstarters campaign next week.  Looks like ogres this time.

I have yet to get anything from them but I might have to bite this time as I've heard great things.

They don't seem to have anything on Kickstarter yet, their Facebook site says they launch on October 1st. It'll be one all-in pledge for the 10 starter minis & everything afterward will be an included freebie. Looks like some cool sculpts; I'll be interested as to what the pledge will be.
