Not to take away from the wonderful job that CW has been doing but it might make his life easier if he's a participant and someone else picks up the management reins?  I can't do it by myself due to time constraints and the unpredictability my latest cancer drug provides but I would be willing to share the load.  I agree that with all the closing cons and lack of human contact it would be nice to have something mini related to look forward to.

CW, would you be okay If someone else managed this round?

I love doing these but ... and I hate to be ‘that’ guy ...

The CDC has confirmed that the COVID virus can survive on plastic for up to 3 days. Is it wise to send around boxes filled with plastic minis to each other right now. The odds are pretty good that some percentage of folks that would sign up to do this have the virus (including those that don’t know they do) so doing this right now my well spread the virus around.

like I said, I hate being the ‘sky is falling’ guy, but it might be wiser and more responsible to hold off for a while ...

If people are practicing good hygiene, washing their hands and not sneezing or wiping snot onto the Bones figures it ought to be fine.  You have to wash them anyway, before painting.

If it bothers you, don't sign up.  Covid-19 isn't the only virus that can survive for days on surfaces.

I was thinking about that, too. I figure that we've got a few options: go ahead as normal, and dont participate in this round if you're nervous.

Or, we wait for  a  while.

Thoughts?

ETA:  if we proceed, it might be a good idea to leave the box unopened for 4 or 5 days upon arrival to be on the safe side. As well as hand washing ond so on.

I think getting it going will be a good thing. Lots of us look forward to getting our turn at the box, and in these days of uncertainty it can be a real mood lifter.  It will be something positive people can participate in.  Most of us are missing conventions, game nights, and visits to the friendly local.  Let's send some good vibes and cheer around.  And for those who just lost a job who want to join, let them take something that will brighten their day.

If we have fewer participants due to the circumstances it only makes the rounds that much shorter.

Glitterwolf, we can put you at the end of the line, maybe you will have internet after several weeks.
