Getting into more Bones 4 goodies. (For once being in Canada is to my advantage when it comes to shipping!) Doing some frankly ridiculous hell hounds from the Fan Favourites expansion. Ridiculous because of the colours I've chosen, to be clear - the sculpts are delightful, if a little more explicitly male than I might have preferred...

This first one is going to have a pink glow in all the cracks. The goal is to look sort of like lava only weird and magical. Not sure how well it's going to look but we'll find out! :poke:

First step was to paint the poor beastie pink... Really only the cracks needed to be pink but there are so many cracks and I was so tired when I was doing this that I just slopped pink everywhere:

Then tonight I started to go back and make the dark plates:

Hopefully more tomorrow!

The Nasty Puppy is rabid in pink; that has a nice ring to it. It is good to see you posting your work. Keep up the SPLENDID efforts...if you feel like it.

I think I found the one angle where that happens. It really is a lovely sculpt. ::):

Oh yes! I'm having fun painting these. It definitely helps that I've given myself permission to fail - if they end up looking like garbage, oh well, it's still an interesting experiment. :;): Takes a lot of the pressure off!

Ask and ye shall receive!

... Yeah, I'm slow, and I have very little time to paint. But at least it's progress. :poke:

Going to be reducing the width of the pink cracks, especially on the face... Right now I'm focusing mostly on getting the shapes blocked in, but the colour is starting to hide the sculpt rather than enhance it... Still having fun though. ^_^

@canuckotter I'm happy to see you posting more again WOOF has missed our Otter Agent!

It's an original take on Hellhounds, and to me they do give off a Slaanesh vibe ( always been a fan of Nurgle and Slaanesh) maybe use a subtile dark purple wash?

Back with part two of the Skeletal Monsters set! I thought of adding some mold/moss to the bones on this, and I used an old terrain trick of mixing flock with PVA glue. It looks alright, but I don't think I'll be doing it on the last one.

This is my first post here on the forums, but I've been a fan of Reaper for a while now.  I've also been painting a while, but only got serious about learning in the last couple years.  I've been working at tabletop ready level until I set my sights on these two frost giants.  The detail is amazing in these models, so I felt like I had to throw myself into it and produce the best paint job I could.  These are the very first pieces I've ever felt were worth considering entering into a competition of any sort.  They are currently my best work, and yet I know that I have a long way to go with much to learn.  Together they took 5 days to complete, working about 6-8 hours each day while I recover from shoulder surgery.

      Some quick notes:
      1. The bases are what came with the minis, please disregard them, I plan on following up in this post with custom bases for each of them.
      2. The Winter Wolf that belongs to the one with the spear is not done yet.  He'll be forthcoming in time.
      3. Yes, I modded the spear.  I cut off the head and used a spare brush protector tube to connect it to a wood dowel.  I used a stain marker on the wood dowel and painted the spear head and tube.  This meant that I had to drill out her hand.  It was a bit dicey, but it turned out well, I think.

      Thanks,

      Hey all!
Here's a quick speedpaint from this evening. It was a two hour deal, from prime to varnish. The only thing that I did yesterday was assembly.
