Welcome to Getting to Know You, Revised Rules May 2019: 

 

0. Have fun with this. 

 

1. Every day, or so  I will post a question.

 

1.5. Should I be unable to post a question for the day a crack team of deputy quisitors, former quisitors, (and maybe a random forum member will step in and post one...)

 

2. In theory there is a 24 hour span to answer that question before the next question is posted.

2.5. (Rule 2 is the most frequently ignored rule.)

3. Questions are going to be posted between 03:00 hours and 13:00 hours GMT (Nottingham Time.  RHQ is 6 hours behind that; Honolulu is 11 hours behind)

4. Everyone is encouraged to suggest future questions to be posted via PM to me... (Or Talespinner, he started it.)

5. You do not have to answer every question to play, because...

6. If a question is TMI or N/A simply wait for the next question.. ..or post something cryptic or clever (See rule 0; clues are fun).

7. Weekend questions will often/May take the form of two or three day quests, starting on Friday or Saturday.

Not sure that I've had a post automerged yet.

No more than a couple minutes.

 

Sometimes posts get automerged when I don't expect them to.  This is usually because I'm not paying attention rather than a "feature" of the forum software.

I think it was 11 minutes. I thought I had given it enough time. But I've also had it not merge with slightly less time. 

 

I think its as as random as we are.

Unfortunately, I really don't know. Certainly at least 5.

2 minutes and 59 seconds, since it is set to 3 minutes in the forum code, though sometimes it seems longer than that, but it isn't.
