Waiting on Classes to be opened up. Once everyone is able to sign up then I'll start making the schedule for the hobby corner. Last year we scheduled the events so that people would have time to get to their class even if the did the event right before.

Mrs. Monster [she prefers Tagalong] and I will also be part of the motoring set so we can help out with local runs. for "stuff".

There is a well set up shopping center, complete with Wally World and grocery stores within 5 minutes drive and a 20-30 minute hoof from the hotel.

Personally, I'd much prefer to make munchie runs in an air conditioned car than to have to go out walking on a Hot August Afternoon in Texas.

I think I'd be up for a shift helping out at the paint n take area. Will have to see what I pick for classes of course, but I was planning to schedule more downtime this year.

Scheduling question for you all:

I try my best to make the Hobby Hijinx Events mesh with Class Schedule. Last year I found that we need at least 15 minutes between events to reset. Should I try to keep events on 1 hour intervals, 15 minutes for reset/cleanup and 45 minutes for painting or 30 minute reset/cleanup and 60 minutes painting or something else?

 

Also @CitizenCane we need to go prom dress shopping.....

I’ve managed a lizard man in 45 minutes that I was actually proud of. But that took planning. But 1:15 doesn’t have the cache of saying “painted it in an hour”, so I’d go with that.

For speed paint I would plan 90 mins. 1 hour painting, 15 min judging, 15 min break/reset.

@Ludo just wanted to say that the Hobby Hijinx was fun of my favorite things in my first year at ReaperCon, and one of the selling features I used on bringing three new folks to the 'Con. Looking forward to participating in as many as I can!
