Certainly different from Siri's version, but yours is a really good piece in its own right. You guys are making me want to paint my own sooner, rather than later, if I can just find the time.

That looks great   I would be happy to use or display that.  I like the color choices.

 

And what recipe did you use for your rocks.  That is some really great looking granite in the archway, both in color and texture.  If you can do that in a speed paint, I would love to hear your methods

The rocks recipe is quite easy:

  • Mix of Tan, Cinammon Brown and Black at different random ratio for the base colours.
    Apply to stones randomly (don't really need to be neat) to get some variety
  • Cover with a "poor man's blackwash" (dollar store craft paint watered-down a lot).
    This lets the sculpt texture do all the work on shading.
  • Some Agrax earthshade in the recesses to hide the crimes
  • light stippling on a few rocks (to be fancy)

Nicely done!  it came out really well!  i look forward to giving it a try. (I have this stone circle around somewhere...) ::):
