I've found what I think is a pretty decent site to buy ribbons from.

They actually have the color available I want.

They are "encouraging" me to buy a second set of ribbons which is what made me think of a Farewell Dinner Ribbon, something to save and start out the next years collection with.

Anyone have any thoughts/ideas?

Can't do a link due no commerce rule, but I can tell you that several of us order ours online from Ribbons Galore. If you want yours to match the size of most people's, get the 1 5/8" by 3 1/2" size. :)

How many ribbons should one order? 50? 100? More?

 

It may not be important if minimum orders are 100+ ribbons.

Simple answer: It depends.

 

Mainly on what the trigger for giving out the ribbon is.  I did you sets of 100 for my order.  Release the Kraken (drink at the fire pit or yell Release the Kraken in my presence) I gave out 80 ish.  Trip Hazzard (have a ribbon train down to your knee) lasted me two cons.  So if the requirement for the ribbon is easy (can I get x ribbon?) then you can easily go through a hundred ribbons or more.
