First Legion Fantasy Line

The problem is ... I know this is a different company, but the whole thing (resins, price, freebie pack etc) reminds me a bit of Raging Heroes and their fiasco - that's of course not objective, even unfair. Purely an emotional thing. But I might be willing to take a chance again (as I said, different company, nothing to do with RH).

In comments, they mentioned 4-5 parts including base for the average orc. So probably nowhere near as bad as the Raging Madness™ TGG2 insanity.

Might be moot though. The project might have trouble finding even the extra 10k, let alone enough to actually get to stretch goals, unless they change it to any pledge of $200 or more being eligible for freebies. Because seriously, a lot of hardcore miniatures backers will be vastly more interested in those add-ons than in yet another band of orc warriors.

I am thinking of making a Kobold level pledge and just seeing what happens. There are a number of nice looking minis, but I'm not super interested in buying sets.

That’s kinda where I am with this one. Might just get the mounted undead set.

Jack Needles Will we get dragon renders before the KS ends?

FIRST LEGION Toy Soldiers It's unlikely because the modeling is being worked on for other things such as the Elves. So we'll probably show a few more of those during the KS along with more villagers I believe.

7 piece models if you count the base for most Raging Heroes infantry :P.

The unit's fully painted now (the video evidence is out there) but I didn't take any more up to date photos than this. (Horribly camera glare kills so many layers of shading and highlighting :().

I find a very interesting line. Although their selection of sizes for their other lines is a bit strange. I’m likely in for the dwarf set. The Parkinson and Elmore influences are very strong.

I just realized they're that First Legion. I've come across them before, that must've been about 6 or 7 years ago, when I visited a historical miniatures shop near work to get paints (they had the full Vallejo palette before the local fantasy/sci-fi hobby stores expanded beyond not-Nottingham colors).

Remembering this prompted me do do a quick search and apparently, they're reasonably popular with German large-scale historicals collectors, so I'd figure the company must know what they're doing on a technical level (material/tooling). I don't think they have much, if any, experience with 28mm though, so I guess the question will be whether they can adjust well to that.

      About
Welcome to our latest Kickstarter release: Wood Elves
A collection of wood elf miniatures that will continue to grow after the completion of this project. So let us know what else you want to see. We may even squeeze a few more miniatures into this campaign!

Artist (Dan Jack): "This was quite an exciting project to work on.  I have always pictured wood elves to be more feral and slightly darker than modern interpretations. The horns for me, are a way of depicting an elder, in an otherwise young looking race. As the elves become more integrated with the forest, they start to develop horns, which are seen as a nod to their stature with in the force. You will see some of the leaders with horns. This in turn, is a foundation we will be building into the narrative of our game. The death of an elf works in both directions. As they come closer to death and old age, you shall see a more warped by the forest aesthetic. I am looking forward to pushing this further with characters in the expansion of this range, as well as more young'uns."
Please note that the items that are shown in black are a guaranteed addition to box sets. They will be revealed as stretch goals to generate excitement!

      Shipping Date:  APRIL 2020
If you don't want the full box set, you can build your own custom order, by adding up the value of the items you want, and then pledge that amount in the 'build you own pledge' reward. You will get to pick and choose what you want in the pledge manager using your credit.
