What are your initial impressions of the Kimera paints?

The violet is the most violety violet I've seen. It is gorgeous. The red is amazingly vivid. The yellow ocher is going to be a fantastic NMM gold base. I LOVE the carbon black. Overall, the density and the matte finish makes them difficult to start. Adding the satin medium to them makes them much easier to use; they feather and blend great. They thin to glazes super well too; I think you could take them as thin as you want without much difficulty. I think they're a good investment and I'll get better with practice.

They don't preserve use on a wet palette as well as Reaper paint though. Reaper paint on a wet palette a day or two later can be used with some stirring up. These... maybe. Sometimes the matte particles stay deceptively separated, then you end up painting what seems good until it dries, then is a white streaky mess.

Is that the 2017?? Happy Seppuku Reapercon Clockwork stamp used on that base?

Yes. I had a ninjashopper at Reapercon2017 who picked stuff up for me.

This makes them sound a lot like Scale 75 Scale Color line, which I like a lot.  I may have to track some down.
