Bones 4 darkreach gnomes

Loved painting this little crew. They are the size of the new Kobolds, (those are 20mm bases) with lots of nice details and character to pick out. I tried to use lots of pastels and light greys (and odd hair colours) to make them look distinct from dwarves.

Great work.  I like the direction you went with for the skin tone.  A weird sort of gray-purple.

They are a WONDERFULLY roguish Band of Little Hooligans...I love the Little Wench with the throwing knife. They painted up SPLENDIDLY. The pallid complexions have an almost porcelain quality that really enhances the minis. VERY WELL DONE!

Thanks everyone - they have very defined faces compared to earlier Bones models, and I wanted to make sure they didn't look like bearded halflings or small dwarves. I just did an  Army Painter "mutant hue" skin tone, blue wash, then back over with Mutant Hue.  I think Reaper does a similar colour.

Wonderful skin color and painting on the tiny faces - I also like the unifiying pale bluish color, seems very underdark.
