I'm probably just going to pledge 100$  and sort it out in the pledge manager.

I will strongly consider the core, even though I do have plenty of unpainted bones

From the previews, I like the Dragon A and the War Mammoth, but im going to try avoiding emotional involvement before I see the package breakdowns.

not getting fan favorites and buying Stoneskull Expansion (have only painted temple dragon from the set)   were both painful decisions

My choices will also be framed by if I actually buy a Renfair costume.  As this is the other major hobby purchase I have looming.

After all, why don't I own a set of high-quality medieval/ fantasy robes yet?

I'm mostly just looking forward to the chronoscope expansion or unusual ones. bones 1-4 have given me about all the fantasy minis I need.

Bones 4 Chronoscope was disappointing to me. I only really wanted three minis out of it. Got those in a trade. Chronoscope is where my interests really lie, so here's hoping that B5 hits a home run with it.

How so?  I didn't get either of those, so I'm wondering what the issues were.

The fundamental problem with Chronoscope is that it's defined by exclusion. If it's not a licensed project and it's not fantasy, it's Chronoscope.

And it turns out that 19th century Zulus, superheroes, aliens from 1950s SF serials, prehistoric mammals, and secret agents don't make for the most coherent possible collection. At any given time, there is only so much of "everything else" that I actually want.

I'd like to see several smaller Chronoscope sets, each with a different theme: 20 zombies, 15 alien monstrosities, a set of supers that are just spandex-clad bodies in heroic poses with a sprue of optional capes and several sprues of heads, bare and with various masks, things like that.

Other than that, possibly make Chronoscope the core this time. The price per miniature on the core is so good that I'd be happy to deal with the eclecticism of the line.

This isn't the "bones you would like to see thread" But I agree with the above. Hope they expand on the smaller sets they did... Like a "monster set" that has more vampires (both in regular clothes and in armor), werewolves, etc...

Very true. I posted this here because it is something that could pique my interest for Bones 5, and now I'm going to put it there as well.

I agree. Chronoscope is fun, but I don't think I would want a big set of it at once. I think it would do better in expansions and add-ons, and certainly not Core (except maybe a pack of 6 figures as one of the stretch goals).

The mammoths are cool but I don't think I have any use for them. The dragons caught my eye. I would probably go in for a core set, and try to be patient from there... expansions like Dark Reach might get in though.

And @Evilhalfling, seriously, why don't you have good fantasy garb yet? But you need to make sure that you get the short version, and then walk on your knees everywhere, because y'know... halfling-ing.

One thing's for certain, I'll be paying more attention when I fill out the pledge manager on this one. I wanted all of the expansion sets in Bones 4 and ended up ordering exactly none of them. I've no teeth left I've ground them so much

I have enjoyed all the figures that I received from Bones IV, but I think I will be more selective with Bones V.  I have sooooo many kobolds, goblins, orcs and such that the core becomes far less appealing when it has even more "basic" creatures in it.   The Expansions for IV were the absolute best and I look forward to seeing what expansions will be in V.

Finally, I don't have to pretend that I do not know that this is coming anymore.  Still can't show you what I'm making for it, but at least now I can admit that I am. ::P:

So let's go back and list off all the stuff I requested be sculpted by TaleSpinner and guess if it's any of those...

That's what I did for Bones 4, and it was a strategy that worked well for us. It allowed us to evaluate our wants vs. needs looking at the KS as a whole. I mean, I still wanted pretty much all the things, but it helped me evaluate which things I wanted most.

I did/will feel a little bad about not helping to unlock stretch goals, but I figure we did that plenty in the first 3 lol.
