Corsair
I had one once that I gave to another player as a gift. It was painted up like R2D2 and had a Wyvern with it as C3PO. Also, if you want to drive someone nuts in an urban fight, run 4 Urbies, 4 Hunchbacks and 4 Hatchetman mechs.

Ohhhhh, that sounds like an evil team full of hurt for an urban fight... 42 minutes ago, Werkrobotwerk said: have you considered painting fake wood slats, a cork and a metal ring on the body of the urban mech to make a bourbon mech? (I'm saying make one a barrel) That.... I might have to buy an extra one just to do that... I'd prefer the AC20 version for that, but still..... :p
Corsair
I love the "Bourbonmech" idea. Fit it with a RAC 5 and a spigot! And paint it up like a bottle of Maker's Mark... I have decal printing paper so it could be done! Edited August 15, 2019 by Corsair

I can't speak to the (surprisingly large) cadre of urbie fanatics, but I have always felt that it had a certain amount of adorable underdog charm. They are even reasonably useful in defensive missions, where the enemy is constrained by terrain to come to the urbanmech, rather than the other way around.
Corsair
1.932 with 53 hours to go. I think we're gonna make it. Went to the LGS today with a bunch of odd books I had wound up with that were just taking up space. Got enough in credit for the old Wolf Clan Sourcebook and 4 mechs. They are now assembled and primed. I'm gonna have to do the Bourbonmech... Edited August 15, 2019 by Corsair
WhiteWulfe
Snippets from the AMA on YouTube so far... Mention about first wave packs.... Very confident in addition to the clan invasion: Clan Commander Star, Inner Sphere Command Star, Clan Heavy Star Hoping to sneak in: Battle Lance, Clan Fire Star Also mentioned - there's more than likely going to be an Iron Wind Metals buy four get one free "classic" Clan Star in the pledge manager offered up. Quads and vehicles are coming. Quads didn't happen this time because they don't fit on a hex, and they wanted retail-friendly stuff first. LAM and Aerospace fighters are currently outside of the scope of the expansions. Will they happen? If this one's successful, they are tempted to do such, but are also tempted to do it with Iron Wind Metal instead. Alien Worlds map will be available in pledge manager, uncertain about whether wave 1 or wave 2. New Zealand shipping will be similar to Australia, looks like AUS + $3-5 on initial overlook. Got an answer about Crescent Hawk - not this time around. Next time, mercenaries, periphery, and minor factions are definitely in the plans. Crescent Hawks are also getting a bunch of attention too, whoo! Magazine will be open for fan submissions. More information once the goal is reached, and guidelines will be posted. Can stores be listed? Looks like they'll talk with the various stores, and if they're okay, they'll put out a list of the stores that supported the Kickstarter. One or two stores listening in said they loved the idea, and how they could definitely use the support. There are plans for Eridani Light Horse apparently. Gray. Death. Legion. Blaine and... Brent... Biiiig plans. None for this Kickstarter just yet. Someone jokingly is pushing for a Natasha Kerensky body pillow case in the comments, and Brent is having fun teasing it, and how it would probably help clear 3 million. Alpha Strike and Total Warfare are the two main rulesets they're looking at keeping the focus on. To Ryan P. in the comments... Is that someone here? :P 2
klarg1
Super-stoked to have quads out there in future plans. Hope is all I need... for now.

Sylverthorne
.... Wlp. So, less than 48 hours to go, we have already seen them break 2m. What insanity will the backers attempt next?!

klarg1
At the Gencon 2015 "Masters and Minions" event, one table had a force of 2 Urbanmechs and 2 Imps, all painted up as Dreamworks "Minions". That was commitment to a theme. 2
WhiteWulfe
Huh, kind of surprised that we haven't seen as much of a bump in the first 9 hours of the last 48.
