Catalyst Game Labs: BattleTech Clan Invasion box set

Recommended Posts

Ooh, more dice pictures posted.  Kind of curious on the reasoning for changing the infill on Diamond Shark from white to red, and from a solid to lined infill on the shark, but it still looks nice.

Definitely hoping they aren't planning on changing other dice, since the renders are the reason I wanted the Coyote and Hell's Horses dice so badly.

Well, the good thing is the details on the dice are really improving as they progress.

True enough.  I'm just hoping colours didn't get changed on the ones they've shown renders of...

Definitely not getting dice pucks now though, since I found ways of showhorning a few things into my plans...

I like that they are taking care to get the dice right.

I would be much more excited about the dice if they weren't clear. I get that clear is new and different, but I think it makes it harder to see the fine detail on the insignia. The flat concept graphics look so clean and elegant.

Aaaaand pledge finalized, for probably the last time.  Effectively wound up being Star Colonel + Bloodnamed + extras...

Clan packs: 1x Command Star, 1x Elemental Star, 1x Fire Star, 2x Heavy Star, 1x Heavy Striker Star, 1x Support Star

Inner Sphere packs: 1x Battle Lance, 1x Command Lance, 1x Direct Fire Lance, 1x Fire Lance, 1x Heavy Lance, 1x Heavy Battle Lance, 2x Striker Lance, 1x Support Lance, 2x Urban Lance

Faction packs: 1x Clan Wolf, 1x Clan Coyote

Challenge coins: 2x Coyote, 1x Hell's Horses, 1x Kell Hounds, 2x Wolf, 1x Wolf's Dragoons

Dice: 2x Coyote, 1x Hell's Horses, 1x Kell Hounds, 2x Wolf, 1x Wolf's Dragoons

ALL the pilot cards, as well as issues 3 and 4 of Sharpnel magazine

Retaliation Pack: Inner Sphere (1x)

Premium BattleMat: Six-Pack Collection (Tundra, Strana Mechty, all four Grasslands mats)

New Kickstarter expenditure "record" for me...  $838.47 USD, wow.  Looks like I'll have 15 salvage boxes in the Wave 1 shipment too.

I honestly can't quite tell what my opinions are on that, although a part of me seems to prefer the idea of a partially smoked look to it, in order to kind of be an in-between kinda look...

Nice!  I've already forgotten what I pledged for.  And I'm not going back in to look (since I'd end up adding something...again).

I'll wait until wave 1 (shudder, Robotech PTSD) ships, then look to see what should be in the box.  Safer that way.

I was glad to see that there might be a credit if we don't care about the Canon Character.

Me too, although for me it's a case of wait and see.  I do like the rumour of bundles being up on offer for round two, but we shall see, since I have a lot of plans the next six months, and of course Bones V to spend a bunch on...

If its a decent chunk of change we get though, I suspect I'll cash my character in.

Edit: probably the only thing I'm "worried" about is that I've gone and convinced myself I'll be painting up three clan forces, and two Inner Sphere...

Just checked to see if I was in on the canon character thing. At Star Colonel I am but not much interested in a character myself. I like the idea of cash back. There's at least one more lance I've decided I'd like. I went for all of the inner sphere lances except one and only a few clan lances. Hoping that the random boxes will give me a respectable variety of the clan stuff. To be honest I'm not very interested in all the swag (but it is purty). May sell some of it afterwards but usually I buy big lots and resell tiny ones.

They are.  They're making me second guess my earlier decision to go Diamond Shark (Blood Spirit and Cloud Cobra both look really nice).  Fortunately, I still haven't locked in my pledge.  That's on my list of things to finally do this week.

Eh, even if you lock in most things can be changed ^_^ I've re-locked five times now, but that's due to adding in extra payments for this and that...

I'm definitely looking forward to the Coyote and Hell's Horses shirts, as well as dice. I'm kind of feeling like they've down to the wire with revealing some of this stuff, but on the flipside, they have to get samples and approve them before showing.

Very happy with the Ghost Bear shirt as well! Reapercon warning: I will be easy to spot in that. Just occurred to me, I will get a ballcap for that velcro patch!

      Hi All!
I happened to come across this project and instantly got sunk into the world of Obsidia.  I thought I would share it here with all the Reaper folks!
I'm sorry for bumping my own post a few times.  After backing this project, I learned that these are first time game creators and they were turned down by some high end famous reviewers at the very last minute due to the COVID situation... Which, in my opinion, is super lame!  I don't see how you cannot do a review unless you actually got the COVID!  I hope that this post gets Obsidia to more people which would bring many hours of fun and enjoyable play!

      1-4 PLAYERS, 90 MINUTES
Players take turns exploring the dark realm of Obsidia by placing terrain tiles to create a dynamic and treacherous landscape. They'll send travelers from their home colonies out to found new towns, battling any enemy players or creatures in their path. Players will also cast spells unique to their colony class in order to gain the advantage. When all of Obsidia’s terrain has been discovered, the class controlling the most towns wins the game.

This is a new project from Heroforge for precolored or prepainted custom minis. It also has an option for those with 3D printers to buy a pack of 10 of their custom minis as STL files.

My name is Bruno and I recently decided to use my (few) graphic skills to design my own waterslide transfers, as I could not manage to get the details on my miniatures right. Especially the parchment, scrolls and purity seals never quite looked as good as I wanted. After sharing some of my work on Reddit and Instagram, I discovered many more miniature hobbyist had this same issue, which lead me to this kickstarter! Besides sharing my own designs, these transfers will be screen printed by industry leading professionals to the highest quality possible.    The first sheet The finished product will be an A5 (210x148 mm) transfer sheet printed in 3 colors: White, Black and Red. The sheet will have hundreds of different designs to give you the most flexibility possible when personalising your mini's. I will regularly add new designs to the sheet, taking into account the backers feedback, until the sheet is full.                      Now while this seems geared to Warhammer 40K at first glance there is going to be a lot that's of more general interest, how many minis have you got with open books, parchments etc that just don't look great when you try and do it yourself?

seems well worth a go, and not bad price wise (if you've ever tried to make your own waterslide stuff)

      Story
I'm Adam Sadler, senior game designer at Blacklist Games, and I love miniatures. They are what got my brother Brady and me into the hobby back when we were teenagers. Whether we’re using them in roleplaying games, board games, or tabletop miniatures games, we love collecting, assembling, painting, and playing with them. While Blacklist Games has published several of our games that feature miniatures, they saw our passion could be used for the creation of a new division that would focus solely on miniatures and allow for company growth in parallel with creating great board games. With everyone at the company excited about the possibility of this new division, here we are to share it with you!
Blacklist Miniatures will focus entirely on producing high quality, highly detailed, pre-assembled plastic miniatures to be used in any type of game. Blacklist Miniatures: Fantasy Series 1, our first miniatures line, is not only a celebration of our love for miniatures, but also of all things fantasy.
With your support, this campaign will not only bring this project to life, but also open the door to other lines of miniatures in various genres and even new games to utilize them!
