Don't forget the Ghost Bears have an entire Galaxy of Elementals...

They're getting a star of mechs because of various reasons, one of them being a different paint job, another to deal with the salvage packs, and a third because hubby kind of likes them. ^_^;;;

I'm not too certain what my thoughts are on clan murder fuzzy wuzzy bear arms of doom is.  Much higher than squawky green-ish pigeons of noisyness naturally, and also higher than smoked spotty boots of spotted ferocity (Smoke Jaguar), but I've never really felt much for Ghost Bear oddly enough.  Such could possibly be due to not looking into their info, not having really played the first four Mechwarrior games (after Crescent Hawk's Inception, I didn't touch a BattleTech universe game until MW2:Mercs), or ah unno.

Besides, I'd have to properly commit to that insane idea first. Gawds, four Star Colonel pledges would be insanity personified... But it would definitely get me two of every mech (so one of each for Wolf and Coyote, the two main clan factions hubby and I chose), so there is that.

Now, assuming I did go that route, if you were to suggest a trinary of mechs for Ghost Bear and then matching amount of elementals, that could possibly be an idea... And I'd still be able to give some to Wolf, some to Coyote, and naturally a decent amount to Hell's Horses as well (assuming I go the plastic elementals for them - they are cheaper when you factor in the bases, not to mention assembly time).  Hmmm...

Y’all make me feel downright restrained. ::D:

...or perhaps not.

I think that closet full of goodies is why some of us have been going in so heavily.  I always did want a bunch of BattleTech stuff, and now, fairly soon, I very well may have that desire.  I'm strongly suspecting that I might wind up spending significantly more than I was originally expecting though *laughs nervously*

I've shown off a large chunk of my collection to a couple people who are interested in starting mini games lately. One the one hand it's pretty good sized with well over 1,000 (honestly never totaled it all) man sized minis and a bunch of larger things. I explain that it took 30+ years at roughly $2-300 a year (less in the beginning, trending more lately) to get it. On the other hand I know of people who's collections dwarf mine. Always wanted Battletech minis and now seems like the right time to jump on it. The last couple years have been about finishing/fulfilling lifelong wants for my collection. Castle, check, spaceships, check (although would love more than 2 fleets), mechs, check, fully painted large armies, getting there. :;):

The one guy said it was a bit overwhelming and expensive to start on minis. I told him I had enough leftovers to get him started on fantasy or ancients skirmish games for less than the average boardgame (he buys a lot of boardgames) and everything needed to make terrain fairly cheap. I could supply both sides for him to try out a bunch of things before jumping in buying anything.

So, no word on extending the closing date for the pledge manager?

I should probably lock in my pledge then, before I forget and the deadline goes by.....

Sadly no word yet.  Some are hoping they say something on Friday's update. Myself I'm still uncertain as to whether or not I want it open longer, got other things I want to put money towards for a bit (and then I want to save up for that CAV dropship, second wind of BattleTech PM, and someoney for Bones V too)

So watch your totals if completing your pledge this weekend.

I had a $75 credit, so selected one extra pack of the legendary mechwarriors and 2 starts of elementals.

Got to the total screen and owed $50.  So I removed everything I added and am only showing a credit of $25.

I go to the last page and the total of items plus shipping don't equal the total, off by $50.  So I managed to break something.

Have messaged both the Catalyst and CrowdOx.

I'm rather surprised we didn't see much in today's update, especially with the pledge manager closing.  We still have several wave 1 items that they haven't talked about or shown (patches, pins, the other four Tukayyid maps), and while there's been some commentary regarding ideas about whether or not they'll open longer or when the second+ Canon character surveys will go out, nothing more than the occasional comment has been said.

I'm also curious about the dice that were redesigned, as the shirts too, since some of those had changes done to them.

I think after going back in I sorted it out and I was just getting confused with "you have 1 in your pledge" thing.  Maybe.
Would help if I could find the matching email, but I don't see the one for the last time I completed it for some reason.

I'll assume it is ok and complete it. And if they figure out there was an actual issue I'm sure they will let me know.

Yeah, that little glitch is annoying, since some things where you have 2+ it still just says you have one, and you look at it like it's speaking in a foreign language or something.

There's two options being talked about, but neither confirmed

- a chance at it being reopened for stuff to arrive in wave 1 shipment, or

- use in wave 2.

Hopefully the next update or two will have something regarding this in it, although I'm suspecting wave 2 usage is the more likely option.
