Getting to Know You July 2019

July 17. If you had to trade bodies with something nonhuman what would you choose?

Depends. Do I have to trade back at some point? Cause if so, then probably one of the great apes. I figure they'd know how to handle a bipedal body so it wouldn't be wrecked when I come back for it. Unlike say, a bird, who would probably break several parts of this body trying to fly around.

Now, if we're talking consequence free body swapping I'd have to go with a Northern Harrier (Marsh Hawk). Three reasons... First, it's a big, powerful raptor and that would be pretty cool. Second, they have those facial discs like owls that allow them to hunt using their hearing instead of just sight. This means they're one of the few Raptors that can hug the contours of terrain in flight and ambush prey. Which is also a cool feature. Third, I got buzzed by one earlier today while walking through a marsh and it was super cool (I was also surprised by a wild Turkey, but that wasn't nearly as cool).

Dragon. Definitely. Dragon.

If you're going to confine me to real-world animals... Wolf, or one of the big cats; a tiger or puma.

You just gave me an image of some guy running around flapping their arms and smashing into walls and destroying everything in the room. It's probably on youtube somewhere! ::P:

Umm, not too sure but probably a tiger. It'd be cool to be that graceful and powerful for awhile.

  • Real Life - Wolf, run with the pack and scare the heck out of girls with a red hood.
  • Fantasy - Vampire, being able to turn into a wolf, bat or mist and again, scare the heck out of girls ( red hood optional)
  • Scifi - Shapeshifter like Odo from Deep Space Nine, being able to turn into anything, like for example a wolf and scare the heck out of girls with a red hood..

Something real: a wolf. They're the original dog, and I love me some dogs.

Something fictional: Jabba the Hutt. Had power, money, respect, wall decorations made of the people who vexed him, clearly knew how to show a girl a good time...

  • A Google server. "I will know EVERYTHING!" Which is both good and bad. I may become a insufferable broccoli because of it.

See, the problem I see with the that, is that the Internet is 90% porn. And most of that is really weird porn.

I would not want to know everything on the Internet.

As long as we are making stuff up...

If it’s gotta be something that is real, and is not extinct, a Red Panda. Everyone likes red pandas.

He didn't say they had to be real!

And you'd get so many cuddles for being a red panda. They are legit adorable!

He's gracefully waiting for a belly rub. A cat is a cat even if they weigh hundreds of pounds.

It was quite funny actually. This is part of a series of pictures I took on a game-drive around Kanla Tiger Park in India *ahem* years ago.

We were in a open top Land Rover and almost bumped into a pair of tigers.

They looked at each other, and you see almost see them saying: "Okay, one of us hunts, the other keeps the tourists happy."

One of them trotted off into the bush, the other sat down about 10 feet away from us and proceeded to things like this for about 15 minutes:

I want to say rat but their life expectancy is not very good...  So I will go with Dragon as well for all the perks that it entails.  All you have to worry about is silly knights and adventurers getting the wrong idea...
