Fantastic stuff.

Seriously, this makes me want to completely redo the bases and turtle shields on all my lizardmen. (And I mean that in the best way...so inspiring!)

Really, really nice work!

Mounting the Lizard Lads on those BEAUTIFUL bases really does complete them. The Group Portrait is WONDROUS to behold. VERY WELL DONE!

You may have noticed that basing has a certain charm all its own; AND it is highly addictive.

Thank you everyone. It is true that completing the base makes the models even more attractive. I am happy to have taken the time to create these muddy water effect. I first painted the muddy surface, I fixed the grass in place with super glue and painted on dry glue. Then I applied two realistic layers of Realistic Water, giving the first layer 12 hours to harden before applying the last layer.

Very good, everything on those minis is so realistic! How did you make the tall grass?

The tall grass is a product from the company Woodland Scenics, SKU: FG173 Field Grass Light Green. Have a look at the video here, or Youtube Model Realistic Field Grass Woodland Scenics Model Scenery. I make small clumps one at a time and use super glue because it dries faster. They also have video on Realistic Water. In fact, I think they have videos on how to use all their product.

I love these! I'll always upvote a good swampy base, having made several myself, and I really like yours. Water Effects is an awesome product when you understand what it can do!

Your figs would look great fighting next to mine (the old TSR metal sculpts from Ral Partha). One thing I'll also point out is your excellent painted box turtle shield. I have a similar shield on some frog men, but no way it looks as great as yours does.

Nice work!
