Darcstaar vs. Kobolds

Using blue as an undercoat for TMM steel....that's cool. I'm going to have to give that a shot, I imagine it looks great.
Great job on those cold, white skin tones! I think they have some nice depth in them.

Its been almost 3 months since I picked up a brush.  Added Brown Liner to wood and leather parts.  Now I have a sub group getting green clothes.  This is Peacock Green.

Experimenting a little.  Next layer is Shadow Green.  I wanted the clothes to be more dirty and faded, so this is an olive mid tone.

I have the same problem... will go months without being able to put a brush down and then months without ever lifting one!

More experimentation.  Pre shading the metallic undercoat?  Mix of Blue Liner and Ashen Blue.

Ruddy Leather on most of the larger leather armors and gloves and belts/straps/bags/scabbards.

1:1 mix of Ruddy Leather:Oiled Leather.

Straight Oiled Leather.

Not sure what class this Kobold is supposed to be.  Monk/Rogue with a throwing knife?  Bard with a flute on his back?  Or Sorcerer/Wizard with his staff, spell comp pouch and wand.  Any ideas?

I think he’s a mage? The “flute” could be a scroll case maybe? The “knife” might be a spell effect? Really hard to tell.

Yeah, I can see him as a mage.  I would guess the implement as a dagger, wand, or spell component/arcane focus.

Shield Brown triad.  I tried to imply woodgrain in some of these models.  It’s all freehand except on two shields.
