Added Iris/Pupil.  Splattered Crimson.  Thought about trying for glint and brighter red dot of diffraction, but it’s too small, there are too many, and I got lucky with dot placement on all 8 kobolds.  So, just the one extra dot.

I really like how you undercoat your metallic layers with a color that brings them out. I do something similar to my metallics, just a thin coat over NM colors.

Good job on using those old Partha kobolds. Those come from the days when kobolds were considered to be small dog people. Some time in the following years the assumption switched to small dragon- kin, perhaps as a new version of D&D was released.

If you need a couple more, Iron Wind Metals has a set of 4 kobolds from HackMaster. I've painted them and they'll fit right in.

Good luck on your army. I painted my orcs this way, many years ago. TBH, I'd rather not do a project like that again. It took a while, and finally getting them finished was time to party.

Thanks.  The metal undercoat trick is something Michael Proctor demonstrates on a Reaper Toolbox video.

As for MOAR kobolds, I think this 40+ I am trying to get through is enough!

From here on, likely to be one model at a time.  This Bones 4? One is pretty big, so as I worked on the skin, an area would be dry and ready for a second layer by the time I went around the model.

Working skin: this was 2-3 layers of Grass Green.  Finally gaining some life and depth.

I'll have to check that video out.

I completely understand what you mean by no more. You are making great progress so far and the end result will be worth it.
