White Cherry Blossom O-Sayumi, 61092

Last couple of weeks have kept me busy, but I'm back! (Briefly.)
60191 is a gorgeous, gracile sculpt by Derek Schubert. A Pathfinder mini, but much more "clean" and less "busy" than many others. Crisp and elegant detail. 
I love making coral colors from oranges and whites, so her kimono is an orange-to-white-peach gradient. A passerby suggested the contrasting green of the bow and hair wrap (ArmyPainter Kraken Skin). 

The cherry blossom motifs on the kimono are Rhinox Hide and matte white; on the fans, they are Rich Espresso metallic dark bronze and Runefang Steel silver.

This isn't my best work, but it easily cracks the top ten IMO. Took two sessions so far. I'll probably fiddle more with the details of shading and tassels/beads later, but I'm eager to post something.

She is beautiful!  Great freehand!

Wow - this is really beautiful - her face, the kimono, the fans! Wish I could paint like that - if you want to finish her to the high level your freehand has set, I suggest adding some shading to the green bows. I love that she looks great up close and in a more distant shot as well.

If I can paint like this, you can too! The freehand is a lot more randomness-friendly than it appears, and helps cover imperfections in the gradient. Advanced cheating! 

Shading the bows is a good call--to preserve that seafoam color, do you think I should use teal as the shadows? I'll give it a try.

Awesome work on the Sakura Kimono. I really love the pattern and the way it's executed. Wonderfully done.

 

As you already said, I think shadows and highlights could use a bit more definition, especially the skin seems to be a bit ... simple from my pov. But then again: The overall picture counts and there she's absolutely up to the task.
