Wow - this is really beautiful - her face, the kimono, the fans! Wish I could paint like that - if you want to finish her to the high level your freehand has set, I suggest adding some shading to the green bows. I love that she looks great up close and in a more distant shot as well.

If I can paint like this, you can too! The freehand is a lot more randomness-friendly than it appears, and helps cover imperfections in the gradient. Advanced cheating! :poke:

Shading the bows is a good call--to preserve that seafoam color, do you think I should use teal as the shadows? I'll give it a try.

I just know oyasumi. But ... well ...

 

Awesome work on the Sakura Kimono. I really love the pattern and the way it's executed. Wonderfully done.

 

As you already said, I think shadows and highlights could use a bit more definition, especially the skin seems to be a bit ... simple from my pov. But then again: The overall picture counts and there she's absolutely up to the task.
