Thankfully, they're not springing the shipping surprise that they did with Bloodborne, where shipping was $45 for the east and west coasts of USA, and MUCH higher internationally, just for a base pledge. CMON will be charging "actual costs" for shipping, though, which means that you should expect the same shipping prices they charged for Bloodborne.

Reaper's KS starts in September, so I'll be saving up for it. I've found CMON base games on sale at half the price of the pledge plus shipping. (No points if you knew where you could get them last week!) CMON KS are essentially the "deluxe version" (and prices) of their games.

I have read the designer's diaries, which aren't as detailed as I like.  But.

They do give me the sense this is not a miniatures combat game but really a storytelling-card reading-choose your own adventure game with occasional moments of combat with miniatures for adornment/bling.

Maybe a little like Solomon Kane?

Can anyone confirm or deny this?  I suppose I could wade into the comments.  Shudder.

I have to give credit to CMON: they assured me by PM they actually have some kind of back-up plan for EU friendly shipping in the works just in case Boris Johnson is every bit as incapable of reaching a workable Brexit compromise within 3 months as he's looked for what's by now the better part of a decade. Some other US creators are busy happily sticking their heads into the sand hoping the entire mess will magically go away...

that's very much the feel I get too,

which is why as a Solomon Kane backer I probably won't get in on this (I don't think we'll get the normal plastic avalanche as the cards are going to cost a fair bit to make & ship too)

edit: it will be decent enough but you'll need to want the game as well as the plastic, unlike some of their offerings

Problem for me: The huge number of KS exclusives (I like a number of them already). There are not many stores in my vicinity backing Kickstarters ...

Yeah, it's the exclusives that get me in. They make some fantastic figures that you can never get again if you don't back. Hell, I'd love to see them do a KS just for the KS Exclusives at this point.
