Awesome job so far.

The only thing is that his pouches/sack etc are painted in browns, as is his bow as is his fur.

As a result it all blends in.

You can leave it this way, because it is all painted well and as a ranger he can pull it off, blending in with his surroundings.

But for me, I would give it some more contrast, maybe paint them a darker brown, or a light grey, I think it will make him "pop" more.

Looks awesome.  I really, really like the cloak.

I agree with the sparkly wolf that you could vary the leathers a bit if you like.

I do love the colors you chose & your brushwork is OUTSTANDING, but doing the mantle in a darker brown, dark green, maroon, or orange would offer more contrast.

Thanks so much for the feedback. I really appreciate it. I may try my hand at making the mantle much darker... Or maybe even maroon like malefactus said. All good ideas and well received.

If I have time tonight after the kids go to bed, I'll get back to it. :winkthumbs:

OH YES!

When in doubt add Purple!

Awesome!

I tried a few variations using Photoshop on my wife's computer. At long last, the purple seemed to tie it together better than the other colors.

The only niggle I have is that the grip on the bow is in a brown that's very close to the brown in his fur.

That's a solid niggle. I may darken the grip like it's been worn with use.

Fantastic work! He looks like he is about to ruin someone's day. I love the work on his fur, and i think your changes made a great difference. Good job taking feedback and applying it!

Thank you!!

OUTSTANDING! I really like the color change...EXCELLENT choice.

Much appreciated!

I'll make sure to post some finished photos when I'm complete.  When I was putting the hand holding the bow on this model, I made the poor choice of not pinning it. As I glued it in place, I thought to myself, "this is going to break. why aren't you pinning this?"

Well, sure enough, as I went to start working on the base, it popped off in my hand. Not too big an issue, but rather annoying nonetheless. I pinned and glued it together late last night and have to touch up some areas right around the points of contact. It should be back to "normal" and stronger than before in no time.

In the home stretch now and getting anxious to start on my next mini. I think someone mentioned it in another thread, how it can be difficult sometimes when you only have an hour here or there to paint. I'm in that boat as well. I cherish and try to make the most of the time I have, as short as it may be.

Thanks again everyone for the great feedback. I may take this little guy with me to ReaperCon.
