Knight of the Dinner Table

Desert of the Dead, fantasy wargaming miniatures!

Recommended Posts

I spent quite a lot on this, all Undead. bases and monsters.

With us buying a house and moving, my only regret is that this means I won't be able to add an Elven Army as well.

When they hit retail I might still pick some up later.

The renders so far look great, but I would love to see some Elven Dinos, I want to see how they will look.

Maybe, just maybe, I can squeeze in one unit after all.

I put in enough to pick up the Dead Battalion, plus the extra undead characters, which is enough to put together an Eaters of the Dead army for WarGods.

If they deliver in time this will be my warband for Cancon next year...

Sat down and put together my order. I'm having a hard time figuring out the PM. I backed for the Hydra level, and I get the impression that it's automatically part of the PM, but at the same time, I get the impression that it's not. Anyone got any ideas?

Sadly, everything I've decided to add in the PM has not had any renders, except the burning giant lady.

You neeed to lock in your order through Backerkit.

At the top you will find what you pledged for an then you can add more manually, that will  then show up as a list under your basic pledge.

So, if my initial backing was for the Hydra, would I need to select the Hydra in the add-ons section? I'm showing a deduction from the pledge in the overall amount to pay, so I'm not sure. I need to look closer at it this evening.

Look at my pic above.

That's from my Backer Kit.

The REWARD showed at the top of my Backer Kit list then I added the rest and that resulted in the list below that.

Then it will show the amount you spent/have to pay/ shipping.

There's a bunch of cool stuff that I just don't need squads for, so I mostly ordered "character" models. Of course, that means that I haven't seen even renders for about 90% of the stuff that I've flagged to buy. Really hope that today's update shows off a lot more stuff.

My thought is, if one is cool, then 30 must be better! My wife doesn’t buy it... but luckily I do...

yeah. There are a couple things I wanted that I think I am passing on. The lynx warriors, the giant statue desert guy... and I wasnt sold on it anyway, but I am passing on the Dino bath tub.

i think I liked it more when it was Egyptian elves who had some dinosaurs... which became we are dinosaur warriors who happen to be Egyptian elves... minor nitpick.

anyway, I ordered a bunch of bases off ebay, which have all arrived. So I am ready for my girls (and their were jackal friends) to arrive.

Aside from the Hydra, the most expensive single thing I'm considering is the elf queen on the Chicken-Rex. I don't really use dinosaurs in my games, but it might be cool enough to justify it. I'm probably getting the sorceress on the raptor, the elf queen, elf sorceress... But I have no real need of squads in my campaigns for the most part.

I just paint for fun and display.

But I just love to create an army and well all done they will look great for a photsession.

Yeah, I'm weird.

The Elves seem to be loosely based on Dark Elves, just in an Egyptian setting, hence the Cauldron of Blood Triceratops, Slayers and Cold Ones/Dinos.

I don't think it's weird

Yeah. Dark elves and daughters of Khaine.

that’s my intention for them too. Actual dark elves have cold ones. But that’s about it... unless you count the dragon...

here we have:

• mounted hexes

• mounted warriors

• heavy mounts

• chariots

• mounted sorceress

• sorceress on flying mount

• queen on flying t-rex

• bathtub triceratops

I like the cold one inspired units and that they are all different. The flying t-Rex and the bath tub triceratops though I don’t really fit in my mind with dark elves. Just my own bias. I do like the flying mount though... so my mind is a hypocrite...

Le sigh. Still no hydra, phoenix, or the other minis I'm actually wanting to buy. I think, of the minis that have been previewed, only 1 is a figure I have on my buy list (the elf queen). I wonder what time on the 31st they'll lock the PM...

      Story
It was the Baron himself who nailed up the poster in Midlam the town square.
WANTED:  LADY WILDWOOD and sundry associated gang members - For Murder, extortion, petty theft and highway robbery.  REWARD - 10 Gold Coins for Lady Wildwood and 1 Gold Coin per gang member.
Speculation and rumour was rife!  Who were these new Bandits that were plaguing Midlam?  Who was the mysterious and dangerous Lady Wildwood? It seemed that the town had been under siege, first from Captain Grief's Gang and then the Hobgoblin Rainding Party, and now this gang of merciless women!
Bounty hunters muttered in dark corners of Inns, looking for information and squads of Town Guard regularly marched out into the surrounding countryside in their pursuit.
But still the robberies and raids continued...
      Waylaid by Bandits Volume Two
A gang of eleven 28mm scale bandits, thugs and ruffians, lead by the Notorious Lady Wildwood, for all of your fantasy miniature games.
      Waylaid by Bandits Volume One
You can also, should you wish, include our first bandit gang with your pledge.  Captain Grief's Gang is a series of of eleven 28mm scale bandits, thugs and ruffians, including the original stretch goal 'George the Grind'.  You could then mix and match your bandits or have them as deadly rivals!
      Waylaid by Bandits Volume One

It's only an 11 day  project, so hury up and back.

Tomb Guardians over the past year has been asked to release our miniatures in a resin/plastic material because a lot of you do not like metal.  So for nearly a year we have discussed and researched the best way to produce a high quality, high detail miniature that is far above the current standard on the market.  We are happy to announce that we have found a method and decided to release all our 28mm monsters in a High Resolution Resin.  These miniatures will come with a 1 year guarantee, if you break one we will replace it for FREE!  Just mail it back to us.   Bobby Jackson, Jason Weibe, Gene Van Horne and Patrick Keith help create these amazing creatures.  We hope you enjoy our Monsters and want to wish everyone a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!
