Extending Olive Skin Triad

Recommended Posts

I'm planning to use the olive skin triad to paint a bust, but I need a white and a black to extend the triad. I'm thinking of using Nightshade Purple for the black, but I'm not so sure about the white. I think it should probably be a warm white, but I don't know which whites are warm.

I use the Golden and Bronzed triad in conjunction with the Olive Skin one; it warms it up at the highlights. Would possibly use Golden or Fair highlight for the peaks. I also use Bruised Purple, Deep Red, and Brick Red as warm blush tones with it, glazed in depending . The Dark Skin triad helps extend it downward. Far deep, maybe only black-lining, Nightshade Purple.

linen white is a warm white.  Mahogany brown can work well with olive skin as a shadow and it is a bit warmer.  If you wanted something close to black that's warm you could use red shadow.
