haldir
Anyone know if anyone makes a open seashell for rpg scenery? It has to be at least 1 inch in size. Using it for a sea hag's scrying pool. thanks!

Clearman
I've seen sea shells at Michael's, though it was a bag of shells of assorted sizes and shapes.

I was just hoping for a resin one that someone has made for rpging. I should look to see if someone made one for 3d printing. Thou, that would require me to fix my printer first..... 1 hour ago, Clearman said: I've seen sea shells at Michael's, though it was a bag of shells of assorted sizes and shapes. Sadly no Michael's in my town (nor HL). We do have a JoAnn's but they rarely have anything worth going into the store for.
Inarah
The Deepwars/Shadowsea kickstarter had a giant clam, but it was ~$25 IIRC, and pretty large. JA had shells in the floral decor dept this summer, though with fall and christmas coming in, I don't know if it is still on the shelves. Likewise, Wallymart might have some cheap in the craft dept. Pet stores and aquarium shops might have shells for fish tank decor. I'd look at etsy for small shells for crafting, cheap prices and pretty fast shipping.
Clearman
How about a 3D printed sea shell? Thing #908554 on Thingiverse looks pretty nice.

It's nice but again, way to large. I'll have to check up there. My daughter goes there all the time for her cosplay costumes, so it's not like we don't go there already. :) Sadly, no pet stores in my town either. I may look at the pet dept at Wallyworld here. They took out the live fish but they left their accessories. I might find something there. 41 minutes ago, Clearman said: How about a 3D printed sea shell? Looking at the upcoming schedule for my games, I see next Monday will be the last I play of the regular games & that is the Sea Ghost part of Sinister Secret of Saltmarsh. We then take a break for 2 weeks due to store inventory & my week vacation & when we get back, we'll play Adventure league adventure. I have time.
Inarah
Oh, dollar stores often have shells in their floral or craft sections. Give JA's bead/jewelry a look, small shells sometimes end up as beads, or cast into metal charms.
Halberkill
Arilyn Water Sorceress has a nifty sea shell scrying pool. https://www.reapermini.com/search/figurefinder+metal+elf/latest/02563 Halber
haldir
@Inarah Thank you for suggesting Wallyworld in regards to the shells. I finally checked today & they have a big bag for like 5 bucks that has perfect size for what I need. I'm gonna hold off till after I get back from vacation as we are heading to the Oregon Coast. It's not the price just I really don't need a giant bag of shells. Thou I will use it if needed. I'm gonna fill up the shell with clear epoxy to represent the scrying pool that it is. Again, thanks everyone for the suggestions!
