Or do it myself, now. Easy one, Fireball bread pudding.

I am beginning to wish my school had had Home Ec now. Why did schools drop that?

Fireball bread pudding sounds good, as would Fireball French toast.

I expect that Home Ec faded away due to budget constraints.  Having enough equipment for a class gets expensive and the classroom can't be used for anything else.  It's a shame, really, I got a lot out of the cooking / sewing / woodshop / metal shop sampler gauntlet we all had to do.  Made everyone try something new and learn more varied skills.

Most deserts can be improved by a good slosh of alcohol in the making.

Boozy triffle (add it to the sponge before soaking it in jelly)

Boozy custard

Boozy cream (to top most deserts)

Boozy icing (goes nicely on cakes and brownies)

Yep. We fettle.

Oathsworn’s minis almost always come out in fine fettle. Same with dark sword (which is good, fettling those would destroy them). Reaper minis are hit or miss.

Fettle away my fellow figmentia sufferers!

I assume because you can’t makes it into a standardized test.

They call it Family and Consumer Science at my kids’ middle school. They got to do a little cooking, but in the oven not on any cooktop. The school said it was due to the amount of gas the class used, making it expensive.

Got to have my first pick on restaurants tonight, Third Culture Kitchen. Going to have a creamy coconut shrimp bowl. The candied peanuts on top is what sold me on it.

Glad you're feeling better.

Thank you! I usually manage to nip pre-migraines in the bud with the appropriate medicine, but I didn't realise that I'd ran out of said medicine at work ::(: This situation has now been remedied. My drawer now looks like I raided a Pharmacy ::D:

Plenty of room left for a cat, I guess.

Also, why is that Cloud Giant polymorphed into a dragon?

I have to admit I did a double take at that too. The odd thing is that it has a picture of the dragon on the back of the packaging. Must be a printing error or something

That’s a cute dragon plush... where can I get one? My baby would love to nom it

He's an Official D&D Red Dragon Dice Cosy and I think she'd love him! He's got a zip that you could easily remove to make him safe for her.

I've been trying to get him from a UK seller for ages, but you should have an easier time sourcing one than I did. Let me know if you can't find one in the states, I can PM a link to where I got him.

I love how there’s one bit that says “too far away for any practical purpose”. Like, your whole country fits in one of our states. That can’t be more than a 2 hour drive

Welcome to the world of any Australian who hears a USAan talk about Texas as a "big" state. I mean, sure we have states that are smaller, but only two of them...

Hey everyone, just managed to finally kick a two day migraine into submission.

I just had one Sunday. Normally I only get between 1-3 per year, and they're not terrible, relatively speaking - just the headache without other symptoms, and they last for about eighteen hours before subsiding. And leaving my head in a fishbowl (and my brain a bit glitchy) for another twelve hours or so...

Pump enough food and caffeine into me, and I can even manage to remain largely functional all the way through if there's some dire need to do so.

But this one was the full Jimi Hendrix experience: flashing lights, auras, even auditory hallucinations and a few brief moments of synesthesia... Yep, for a couple hours seeing the color orange left a strong taste of blueberries in my mouth.

The agonizing pain sucked, but the free acid trip was kinda cool. And my brain was surprisingly non-glitchy afterwards other than wanting to autocorrect the word "migraine" into "microwave" and refusing for about five minutes to recognize my sandwich as a food item until after I'd agreed to consume a chocolate bar and powdered mini donuts.

Migraines definitely suck.

Well, that was weird...I woke up, sat on the edge of the bed for a couple minutes trying to figure out what day it is, and then my alarm went off and I woke up, but for real this time.

But were you in bed, or sitting up on the edge?

I once dreamed that I'd gotten showered, fully dressed and ready for work, only to have my alarm go off and wake up for real - and realize that I'd just actually done my whole morning routine in my sleep...
