Since getting a new phone, I’m convinced that the tiny drunk elf running my auto corrupt is experimenting with hallucinogenics.  I’ve gotten some very weird “corrections”.

My method for dealing with autocorrupt is to turn the bloody benighted thing completely off.

I will use a spell checker, set for American English.  This gives me a red squiggly underline that then gives me the opportunity to choose my preferred spelling from a pre-generated list or introduce the idiot box to a word it hasn't encountered before.

GEM

Maybe autocorrupt devices are part of a vast conspiracy to embarrass the gadget using populace into learning to spell for themselves.

Everybody was packing up their offices today. Offices? Cubicles. Anyway, half of us are moving to a facility the opposite direction of my commute, and the other half moves up the road to a temporary location for a few months then will be joining us at the remote location. Not happy about losing my nice nature walks at lunch. Am happy I can hit Harbor Freight like every day.

Still have a driving desire to make a Gannt (or whatever) chart for my ReaperCon entry. Might do that tonight, as I have to use the work machine for that and need to be off the clock. Did clean the painting desk last night so I can in theory do some actual hobby work.

Debating where or not to take advantage of MM offer on the Falling Star ship. Price it's at is almost equal to what hte Unpainted version is. Deciding factors is I wanna support my local shop with the purchase, I can slowly pay the purchase vs all up front & dangit I like the Unpainted line. Still it's tempting.

It was a back-pressure issue. Plus, as a result of cost reduction measures, the exhaust port was dual-purposed for the trash compactor output, and you can imagine the mess that would have resulted if there had been a grate in front of that. Government contracts, donchaknow.

If the exhaust port was being used for trash output, then they definitely needed an anti-backflow valve. You don't want all sorts of garbage ending up in your reactor because it managed to go the wrong way. That's how you end up with reactor maintenance issues and power outages.

Edit: Wow. Apparently the post office in Monroeville, PA attempted to deliver a package to me but we're unable to because "driveway/front door was inaccessible." No crap it was inaccessible, it's almost 2 hours south of you in a different state! Otherwise, my front door is about 20 feet from the curb and the only obstructions near it are a couple trash cans.

I think he tried to use a tablet, autocorrupt is a thing, I know to watch for it, him, Fire neophyte that he is, did not.

This message brought to you by the Society to Give Megan O'Grump an Excuse to Use Neophyte in a Sentence. ::P:

I turned autocorrupt off on my Fire. I may not get fewer typos, but at least I know they're MINE!

Sadly, what really happened was 'Well, that's wrong. That's okay, I'll fix it before hitting Submit!'

*Submit*

I actually planned on correcting it, then... didn't.

Going over our Reaper Wishlists - to put together an order so we can get the Juggernaut.

Lots of overlap, this time.

Vermina, the other Vermina, Barrow Rats, Rats, Rat Swarm, Bat Swarm, Giant Bats, Mathias the Twisted, Boren Backslap.

Each of us wants a Vermina - I want the newer one, Megan wants the older one (I already painted one of her, but Megan has plans for hers). Both of us want bats and rats, and both of us want Mathias, while Megan wants Boren the rat catcher.

You'd almost think both of us are running low level Urban games, right now....

I was kind of surprised not to see either Vermina with the steampunk Bones in the KS.

I have discovered that my spelling is not just Australian but also archaic. Multiples of dwarf to me are dwarves, just as roof is to rooves, and staff is to staves. Apparently that spelling is acceptable but archaic. WUT? I'm not that old. I *always* fight with spell checkers.

You know, I once talked with a man from Poland - his family didn't believe him when he told them that Americans have to use computers to check their spelling. They thought he was making  a Dumb Americans joke.

Okay.  Got my "Sara the Seeress" from my RCon hair class all prepped to finish up.  We'll see if I can get her done before hubby gets home late Friday.

Prescription for antibiotics is safely waiting to see if youngest can kick her sinus infection without them.  Things seem to be under control, hoping to keep them that way.  <fingers crossed>

I have a paella pan that I seem to use primarily for gigantic cookies.

But... they're peanut butter cookies... I don't own a fork big enough for a 2 foot cookie ::P:

Why do you need a fork? Cookies should be eaten with your hands...

I agree on dwarves and staves. I've never used rooves.

I just had lunch and tried a veggie chiliburger for once.

Let's just say that I will not turn vegetarian in the upcoming 30 years.

Good on you for trying it.

Even better of you to report back that it's as horrible as I imagined it to be. Now I don't need to go try if myself.:winkthumbs:

I was given a turkey burger without being told what it was once; I could tell that it wasn't right with the first bite. I didn't like it, and that was at least still meat. I don't imagine that a veggie burger would be any better.

If I want a hamburger, I want it made the right way, with ham!

Well, I guess I'm old right along with you, 'cause that's how I spell those words, too. Well, not rooves, never thought about that one, but the other two for sure.

*sigh* I have a defective rooster. He is currently out there yelling, 'Doot do DOOO!' at the top of his chicken lungs.

Some inspirational music.
