You mostly seem to have a Sunny disposition. At least that’s what shines through when you are ::): ::): enough to leave rambleational (totally a word Doug; totally a word) remarks here. So do ramble on! And commentate. And stuff.

Did you snap any pix at this con?

As for the banishing of winter. They have these lightbulbs now that are stupid silly bright. I was able to find some that kick out 1650 Lumens on only 15-16 Watts of power. You need a Cat-Cave** with about four of those things; maybe two in the ceiling fixture and two more in a pair of desk lamps...see what that does to the winter bleurrrghs.

**It’s like the Batcave, filled with all your cool toys, but brightly lit. (On only about 60-75 Watts Total power .....LEDs! ....Science!)

LOL Well if a cat cave is where I keep all my cool toys and is brightly lit, then my paint room qualifies! ::D: I do totally plan on getting some sunlight-simulating bulbs to swap in, and also start taking vitamin D regularly.

I'd say I generally tend to be sunny, or at least I want to be, especially when I'm around people I know. I tend to get quiet and hide when I'm not, though, so not a lot of people tend to see me when I'm GrumpyCat or when I just can't do people right then. It's glorious when my anxiety and depression are at a low ebb at the same time, though; I feel like a freaking superhero, like I can do literally anything and the world is full of colors again, it's unreal. So I hold those times close when life gets gray again and it helps remind me of reality when my brain is telling me the most horrible lies.

As for con pictures.... *checks phone* I seem to have taken very few, actually. I'll drop a few in a spoiler for funsies.

One of the very few pictures of me! I'm the one on the right with the lightsaber (we're both Rey from Star Wars)

Bob Ross Deadpool

GNK droid from Star Wars (also played music and had sound effects)

Ruby Rhod from Fifth Element

And here's a few from the film shoot:

Our director/puppeteer

Serious contemplation of monitor by camera guys

Me doing the slate (clapper) with my small heap of notes in the foreground

And just for fun, one of my partially completed shot logs. The camera designations got a bit...creative toward the end lol (camera guys kept changing which cameras they were using where)

After redoing my taxes a couple of times, I made a simple spaghetti dinner then have myself a bit of time to hobby.

I wasn't planning on working on rats, but I ended up with way too much primer on my tray.

Short week thanks to the holiday, but I have the feeling they're gonna be long days

A bit of personal stupidity today...

Grabbed my gaming material, rushed out of the restaurant job, just in time to catch the bus to take me to the school to run my after school Pathfinder game, pulled on the door and *Thunk*... the door didn't budge.

Which makes perfect sense - it's President's Day and the school is closed. <_<

I knew it was President's Day, knew the school was closed, yet somehow it did not connect that, oh, yeah. School closed. No game.

I was looking forward to it - the group has put the pieces together, and was heading towards the climax. *EDIT* Hopefully in time to rescue their friend, the goblin klobasnek seller. Someone has been murdering goblins, and  using the Public Works Indigent Reanimation protocol to get rid of the bodies - having them reanimated by the city, and put to work - which also conveniently prevents Speak With Dead from working.

The city Medical Examiner - necromancer and creator of the spell used by the Public Works - had a heart attack. The bard/reporter managed to keep him alive, with a fairly high DC Healing check.

Two days would have covered it, I think - but one definitely won't.

The Auld Grump

The look on his face when I told him it's the whole week!

Like telling BD that Christmas has been cancelled, and we are having Brussel sprouts for dinner.

And I had to talk him into running the afterschool game! ::P:

I have a silly encouter planned for my own kids game.

A wererat, in dire rat form, with a bonus in "puppy eyes". Her initial plan is following the PCs, then stealing a back pack when she can.

Looking cute, so they let her follow them.

No combat, not evil, opportunistic, but can be recruited if they are friendly.

Think "mascot" not "henchperson". She's a kid.

Hoping that everyone over in Jollie Olde Englande are safe and have kept their tea supplies high and dry.

I'm not in England, but we got the same rubbish weather. Thankfully we didn't get flooded or have any trees fall over, although I nearly got knocked over by a particularly nasty gust of wind whilst out running on Sunday.

Unfortunately the sheer volume of rain has made getting out and about a tad difficult. A nearby nature reserve is a little bit flooded, so I don't think I'll be using this hide anytime soon ::o:

Didn't Bob Bakker theorise about dinosaur warm bloodedness a while ago? Or was it just for therapods?

I thought paleontologists had completely chucked the Dinosaurs wuz like Reptiles theory.

I thought Dinosaurs = wingless birds was now the working hypothesis/theory. Warm-blooded endotherms.

"Non-Avian Dinosaur" is the weasel-word I've been seeing on science yoo-tubers videos recently.

oh, that just means not birds. Avian dinosaurs are today's birds, as far as i know, so non-avian dinosaurs would be anything that isn't a true bird. that's my understanding at least
