What does an election for an ephemeral office, that will change in 2, 4, or 6 years have to do with how your life will be structured for the next decade and a half plus?  If either of you don't understand that a child is a decade and a half plus commitment in time and resources, regardless of the economic, cultural, or political  changes it's time for some serious conversation on the subject.

Goverments change, people go on.

Even if your husband does get the desired outcome for ~this~ election, there is no guarantee that he will have the desireable outcome from future elections.  Currently, the economy is at the best level of performance we have seen iin the last decade and a half plus, with the only storm clouds on the horizon being the economic disruptions and dislocations in China from the Corona Virus, which is a temporary condition.

Please understand that my observations and remarks are made irrespective of anyones political philosophy or affiliations but are made strictly as observations on what is going on in the world and are based on slightly over 70 years of being a student of the School of Hard Knocks and studying the Human Condition.

Yeah, I've tried explaining that to him. I'm sure in a few months he will come around. I just want to decide by my birthday and then do whatever we decide to do. I have a lot of med changes that need to happen so November might be around the time they get situated anyway.

How is that place?  I've been tempted a few times to stop in, but they're in a weird spot in my route so not the easiest to get lunch from (that and there's a Blaze pizza next door to them, more or less >.>;;;; )

I ate at one here and it was nasty. Entree was cold, egg roll was soggy with grease. Never went back and they eventually closed.  There are a few around town, I have heard people like them, but I won't be back. There's a lot of asian food in town that is way better than my experience with them was.

In other news... found out this evening that the guy who first GM'd for my group ~4 years ago has passed away. Auto accident.  He was my age.  The 7 of us met for the first time at a local con, at his game, and decided to form a game group.  The GM was not able to join us for scheduling reasons, but the rest of us continue to meet and play.  We were sad to hear the news, he was a decent guy and ran some fun games.

As a franchise, they can vary. At our place in CO, we had three of them about equidistant from us. Two of them were good, the third one was constantly having issues - guess which one closed and became a Thai food place?

Their best entree is Orange Chicken, and it's generally what they're best known for.

Yesterday after school two students from our local high school died in a head on crash on a country road. I think this is going to be a difficult week for the kids in our small town.  Already had one kid cancel for tomorrow's D&D game - not sure, but I suspect it might be related.

So, I totally forgot that I had my shift today at the coop, which threw off the whole day. I had just started to prep for waffles for breakfast when my phone went off to remind me about the shift. So we had waffles for dinner, along with some home made fried chicken! And it was yummy! Did do some studying.

@SparrowMarie I sympathize with where your husband is coming from. I'm going to refrain from further commenting on it, lest it be tossed into Beekeepers faster than the Earth is heating up. :zombie:

"Space Orgy" is an all-the-time mood lately.

I don't know a lot and ain't gonna tell other people their business, but I've learned by ways harder than probably necessary you can't wait on the world to align to live your life. We're sitting atilt this space ride, so it'll always be askew.

Was up until 1 this morning. Got up at 5. Definitely going to need a nap at some point. Today's agenda consists of cleaning and painting.

Spoiling for personal stuff:

So Husband and I have been talking about having kids. He wants to wait to definitively decide until the election. I just want to make a decision and get the process of my meds being straightened out so I don't have to wait another year while we figure things out in that aspect.

Med provider prescribed me a prenatal vitamin. Which I'm seeming to tolerate well so far these first few days. I've always been pretty iron intolerant so most vitamins/supplements with iron in them make me pretty sick. But so far I've just been eating some crackers with them and that is helping a lot. Med provider/therapist is very happy that I am revisiting the topic. I'd decided for a while that I didn't want to have kids because of health issues and family genetics.  But I am in a better place in life now that I think it's worth revisiting.

I am very nervous but also kinda excited at the same time. I don't know what's going to happen but only time will tell.

Good luck Sparrow! The decision to have a kid is deeply personal, but I will say that the world is “always ending”. We can’t let whatever is going on stop us from having a fulfilling life. Also, after my hubby and I decided to start trying it took us 3 years to get pregnant. So there’s no time like the present!

If they're going to spar, you're going to need to put boxing gloves on both of them.

It was a large cat named Gratch. He’s old and fat and grumpy, but kinda likes babies.

But not when they attack him.

She took him by surprise. Bum rushed him and grabbed his back end. He swatted her, then freaked out when she started crying and ran away.

They both don’t understand that they need to be more gentle with each other

Well we just got the news, a close friend of my girl has passed away early this morning.

We knew it was a matter of time, she had a brain tumor and after surgery almost two years ago, it now returned and was growing rapidly.

She was only 50 yrs old.

My girl and her were friends for over 30 years.

On top of it all, another friend of her, same age, is under vigilance right now.

She had a headache a few months ago, passed out, and they discovered something was bleeding in her brain.

They suspected either a tumor or an abces.

Since there is still some remnants of that bleeding the medics still can't make out which on it is.

So..hopefully it is "just" an abces instead of a tumor or she will lose another one of her close friends.

Way to go Universe!

That went down exactly as I figured. The only thing I expected more would be that Sephy had stuffed his tail into her mouth.
