Just got told to go home BUT I can stay if I have to as I'm "essential".  That word is not at all comforting, you know...  My peers have been told they should work from home but stay off the network so that "essential" users can get online.  So they get a 3 week "holiday" and I get to work from home...  :upside:

Waiting for our Prime Minister to address the country, likely to declare a state of emergency that will...  force me to work from home?  :winkthumbs:  Should I be worried that he's 11 minutes late already?!

At least I'm still getting paid, something that can not be said for many folks these days...

So the job interview I was supposed to have next Wednesday has been postponed. There was the possibility of it happening over Skype, but for now, it'll pushed back. They'll give me an update by next week.

For a while, my mother's retirement home went into extreme quarantine mode. No one in, no one out. If you stepped out, even as a resident, you wouldn't be allowed back in. They relaxed a bit more the next day. No visitors, but allowed to exit the building "to get some fresh air".

My sister is finding that the kids have to negotiate visits from/to friends. The kids are realizing that this is not working out like regular school vacations or spring break.

Prime Minister is going to announce the next measures in a moment. Airports and borders are still a bit of a mess right now.

And I'm really disliking anyone making this way more political that it should. (I'm looking at you Facebook!)

I don't even want to know how Ravioli® can be made to behave like Jello®

I dunno what an aspic is.

Basically, it's a french dish that's a high gelatin bone broth with mix-ins (kinda like soup stuff) that's set in a mold and served cold.
if you've ever cooked a roast in a pan, and left the drippings in the pan when you stick it in the refrigerator, and the drippings solidify?  you remove the fat layer on top, and the jelly like layer under that is basically the same stuff as an Aspic.

To do it with canned spaghettos you probably add unflavored gelatin to it.

There is something way wrong with the Universe. Way, way, way, way wrong.

I put two pair of jeans and two socks in my dryer two days ago. They were damp. Just been washed. There was already a towel in there from the previous load and I was too lazy to pull it out and fold it.

I just fired up the dryer and walked off.

Returned to it today, discovered damp socks. Grrrrr. :grr:  So, I threw them back in, cranked up the machine, and waited a bit, read a few posts.

I open the door, the machine thumps to a halt, I fish out the socks. They are dry.

But there are now THREE socks.
