With this figure, it took me forever to figure out what color I wanted her clothing to be, so after a long and painful struggle just gave up and made them white.

I have problems working out what colours to use for clothes even if it's a modern-day figure.

White suits her well!

Gives an Amazone look IMHO.

She looks awesome, great work on the skin and gems.

It's where I always get stuck unless I have some kind of color plan ahead of time or unless it's just painfully obvious. I'm painting Juliana the Herbalist right now and she's more logical to me, natural colors, greens, browns and beigy whites.

Thank you very much Glitterwolf, she does give off kind of an Amazon vibe, doesn't she?  The skin started off as tan skin from Reaper, figured a warrior is outdoors a lot, needs to have some kind of tan.

She looks nice!

For those who want their own, I think she's still sold by Iron Wind Metals (03-056).

Yup, she's still available out there! Lovely little miniature, not exactly sure when she was originally sculpted, but some time in the eighties without a doubt!

Lovely work.

Thank you Loim, I really enjoyed painting her!  Let's face it though, I enjoy painting virtually anything I can get my hands on!

Beautiful - love her face!

Thanks Warlady, it's crazy with our funky modern cameras how good of closeups we can actually get!  Sometimes that's good and sometimes not so good, always depends.

She is lovely. Your whites are amazing.  I'm trying to remember if I have this one or not. If I do mine certainly doesn't look this good.

Thank you Inarah, I started off with leather white, then some blues, greys, and dark skin elf triad with a highlight color of pure white.

If you have the figure around, you should paint her up and show her off and if you don't have one, you could always buy one, they're still available with Iron Wind!

Nicely done! One of my favorite RP minis, and one of the few I have that was sculpted by Bob Charette. Someday I'll get it painted. :-)

No time like the present!   Throw some paint on her!

I think sadly I forget about Bob Charette as a Partha sculptor, I usually think about Meier, Mize and Guthrie, but there are a number of other sculptors who worked at Partha too back in the day!

      Hi guys and gals,

so I've been painting a goodly amount this last week or so, but it's been so cloudy I haven't been able to take proper photographs.  Today was the first day the weather showed a bit of sun, so got some photographs going.  Here is the first one I've been working on, the Drakonne by Bob Charrette.  I'm about 99.9578% that this is based on the dragonne in the first hardback Monster Manual, with a slight consonant adjustment to avoid any copyright infringements.

So looks lots of photos from lots of angles:

Cross between a lion and a copper dragon as per the Monster Manual, so tried to do a similar color scheme.

Anyhoos, more to come soon, just got to get the photos edited and made presentable.

And here is the second one I finished this morning, another Ral Partha figure sculpted by Dennis Mize back in the eighties.

This one looks to be pretty clearly based on the Evil Queen of Disney fame.  I didn't want to give her exactly the same colors, so threw in some orange into the mix.

I think this is another Ral Partha Import resculpt.   I added a close up photo, but realized afterwards there is a little fuzz or lint or something on the cloak, sorry about that. Adding it in anyway, sa I'm too lazy to retake the photos.

      Hello guys and gals!
Here is one of the minis I just finished this morning, a Ral Partha Kindly Old Wizard, I think sculpted by Dennis Mize.  Sadly I forgot about the "old" part in the Kingly Old Wizard, and made his beard much more brown than a really old wizard would have I'm thinking.

This is one of the Ral Partha Imports that Dennis Mize sculpted based on some old Citadel miniatures.  So anyhoos, here he is, feigning friendliness!

For my Legions of the Dead full painted army for Saga : Age of Magic :
      - a lieutenant (unknown origin, but one of the ugliest miniature I ever painted )
      - 2 wizards (Ral Partha)
      - 10 (cross)bowmen (Ral Partha, Reaper, GW conversion)

      Hello All,
another miniature finished today, with my employer, we got a reduction in pay, but at least fairly are expected to work less hours as well, so I've got Wednesdays off, and have spent the day on and off painting amongst other things.

Here is the last one I've finished an Aristocratic Lady, sculpted by Dennis Mize I believe as part of their Ral Partha Imports line that would have been taking the place of some other older original Citadel model of the same name.

My original thought was pale skin and dark clothing but I ended up with just the opposite. I think she turned out okay. One of these days I might do an alternative color scheme of her.

Anyhoos, here she is, hope. you like:

and a close up shot of her face, not perfect, but still decent I guess:

I was kind of thinking peacocky colors, but I'm ending up just green bird as I didn't do any of those blue and orange colored swirls anywhere. In any case, enjoy!
